In the middle of untouched nature, sparkling lakes and clear rivers, the Schlosshotel Burg Schlitz welcomes its guests into a 180-hectare landscape park. The magnificent property in the heart of Mecklenburg Switzerland, just 1.5 hours' drive from Berlin and Hamburg, was built over 200 years ago by Hans Graf von Schlitz and is considered as one of the most important classicism buildings. Carefully restored and belonging to the renowned group of Relais & Châteaux Hotels, the luxury house offers all amenities: The 21 individual guest rooms and suites captivate with restrained elegance, which is reflected in the furniture with Biedermeier antiques and custom-made furniture from the Hellerau manufacturer and the finest fabrics. Art lovers will be delighted by the glamorous salons and halls with their exquisite antiques, wallpaper paintings and neo-Gothic pointed arches. The dreamlike ambience is also ideal for private festivities. Regular concerts and readings underline the cultural claim of the historic place. If you want to feel the magic of nature, take a walk through the hotel's own park.
Burg Schlitz offers culinary delights with dedication: classics of fine French cuisine are served in the Wappen-Saal, the hotel's gourmet restaurant. Chef Sabine Teubler's menus, refined with regional ingredients, are real works of art. Brasserie Louise serves the best fresh from the market, from the surrounding lakes, the nearby sea and of course from the own hunt. Relax in the Ruinart Champagne Lounge, which is equipped with exclusive outdoor furniture from Philipp Starck. The hotel’s cozy living room spa features a steam bath, infrared sauna, finish sauna and pool. Do you want to exercise? The Burg Schlitz is above all a worthwhile destination for friends of equestrian sports. And golfers indulge in their passion in the immediate vicinity: in the Teschow Golf Club, an 18-hole and a 9-hole golf course await you on Teterower See.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel very much, but we also treated ourselves to the junior suite, where a high level of service can be expected. The star cuisine is great and highly recommended. In other respects too, great attention was paid to our well-being.
