Alone on the golf course

Here is a slightly more recent review than the one before.
Played second half October 2022.
Reception next to the Caddymaster near both the Oaks and Lakes tees. Toilets are also available here.
Both places in good condition, faster greens. There is at least 1 toilet on both courses, and 2 on Lakes. But very empty, no golfers. So perfect, reception very friendly, even in rainy weather.
The restaurant is not on site but a good 5-minute drive away, which is a shame. But overall very good value for money. We'd love to come back when the weather is nice.

Nice place, almost deserted

I played this course on a sunny, warm day in late October and met almost no other golfers there. For both locals and tourists it is "unfortunately" too far from the hot spots in no man's land.
The condition was good, the green fee was very cheap, the design of the course shows that someone originally had bigger plans here than occasionally welcoming a guest who got lost from Lisbon. The fact that these grand plans have failed can be seen when approaching the maze of side streets where there is not a single house. Bad for the investor, good for the golfer, who can pursue his hobby here completely undisturbed by other players, construction noise or villas on the edge of the fairway.
The star deduction is there because the check-in is also very unfinished, the maintenance status could be significantly better and the so-called "Lakes" course (aka Ribagolfe I aka Blue Course) only has water on three lanes. That it got 4 stars after all, because of the pace of the game, the friendliness and the fact that Ribagolfe I (Lakes) on the Front Nine ran over a few hills and was therefore very interesting in terms of play even without water.

Super Site

A beautiful place. Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to have to take a taxi driver who did not know my predecessor. It did not bother me that the clubhouse 1 kilometer from the tee 1 or from the caddymaster was, as I had a rental car. I did not have to order a too expensive taxi for the return trip. That's why I can only rate the place. Beautiful, idyllic location, unfortunately only an 85 played, as very demanding. CONCLUSION: Absolute insider tip, anytime again.

Average place

We played RIbagolfe I in January 2018.
First of all, I would not recommend anyone taking a taxi from Lisbon to this golf course.
The taxi drivers in Lisbon unfortunately only know each other in Lisbon (+ 20-25km surrounding area). Also know the taxi drivers from the environment of the golf course only in your immediate area. Why the taxi drivers all have no Navis or use their mobile phones for navigation, I ask myself today...

But now to the place itself:
The course is located in the middle of the famous Pampa. Round is nothing.
Arrived by taxi we drove once for registration. First of all, it should be said that our taxi driver unfortunately a slightly larger round (15 km more than necessary), because the lady of the golf club on the phone has simply said the wrong route.

After the registration we had to drive about 5 minutes by taxi on the huge area to get to the caddy master.
Be sure to use the toilets before in the clubhouse and definitely not the Caddiemaster. In the men's room, the flushing did not work and in the ladies no real light water came from the pipe. On the Ribagolfe I there are toilets at two holes but definitely not to be recommended.

Unfortunately we were not informed at the reception, that you need a map for the driving range. Of course we did not have them and so we simply picked up a few balls on the range.

The course promises variety, but the condition was really not good. Apparently you do not get it here to keep the golf course in good shape. Otherwise, the place would certainly be more interesting. The holes are very long and sometimes very narrow. There was not a really nice hole. We just missed the variety on this place.

Even if you have a rental car, I would not drive the place from Lisbon extra. I would rather take a little more money for the green fee and play the Oitavos Dunes or Penha Longa. The 15-20 € more green fees are worthwhile.
The only good thing about the place was the price for the cart. This was about 35 € and is cheap compared to other places.

The highlight (in the negative sense) was the return transport to Lisbon. We had ordered a taxi in the clubhouse. This arrived after about 20 minutes. The driver already had € 20 (!) On the meter. He just said that he had a long journey. So we did not have to pay 55 € but 75 € for the ride. So that's why, if you really want to play this place, I would recommend the journey only with a rental car.

Fantastic, varied course in the middle of nature!

Played mid October 2017, Ribagolfe place 1:
It is a fantastic golf course! Varied playgrounds with (for Portugal at this time rather untypical) juicy fairways and fast greens. There are five tee-off options per hole. The place was in a very good condition, well maintained. The course is relatively long, a buggy is offered. One golft here in absolute silence, as far away. Scenic gorgeous, slightly wavy terrain with countless old cork oaks and some beautiful water hazards. On the back-9 precision is required! The price / performance ratio was absolutely good. Overall, a definite game recommendation! Would play here again immediately.

Beautiful place with reasonable pricing

On April 25,2016 I played for the first time on the course of Ribagolf (no. 1) and it should not be the last time.
Besides most generously wide, well manicured fairways of average difficulty and a lot of nature he impressed, especially because of the large number of beautiful cork trees along the fairways (had never seen this kind in Portugal).
The temporary clubhouse is located several kilometers away from the place, still worthwhile after round one visit. The kitchen in the freshly prepared dishes taste excellent, the wine list includes some of the fine wines of the country and the favorable prices in this region it needs no additional comment.

Also Ribagolfe 2 recommended

I then also Ribagolfe 2 played in November 2014 to add little new - good condition, really disturbed, very varied, plenty of water.. If everything fits, just that it just still relatively empty.. Hope that not even soon to closure leads...

Very great facility!

Have Ribagolfe I played was very enthusiastic, very varied, even relatively large amount of water. For us it was raining in torrents, but the drainage of the system was excellent, so we then but have played 18 holes (actually alone on the square).

Yes, infrastructure is used to, and it takes just 10 minutes longer because we stop again departs from the (temporary?) Clubhouse through the system, but that is no problem..

The system is typically designed for Portugal with many holiday homes, it is not a single, but the roads are available...

Remote but beautiful

The entire golf course is a little remote, but easily accessible from Lisbon (40 minutes by car and on the way back, you can also drop by in an outlet mall in Alcochette).
Unfortunately, the club house is not built directly on the tees of the two golf courses, but a good 5 minutes drive away( here you have to sign up before the round.
As for the place, I can only judge Ribagolf I since we have only played this. In all cases, the court makes a clean impression and the staff, both at check-in as well as the starter, is very friendly. In any case, this place is long and the wind makes one or the other hole even longer (depending on your mood you have five tee boxes to choose from). In any case, this place is a recommendation if you would like to play in Lassabon golf and has a car at your disposal. Our round was in any case very calm and relaxed because we were almost the only golfer on this site better delivery.

Spring 2013

We played both courses beginning April 2013. The staff was friendly and helpful ausserordendlich. On the site there is a brilliant practice area with putting, chipping, pitching green, driving range and to crown a small pitch and putt golf course with 9 holes. The courses themselves were beautiful, the beautifully prepared water hazards rounded the landscape even more beautiful. Unfortunately the place had many temporary waters. Nevertheless, the place is highly recommended.

Championship Golf

2 exceptionally good, challenging golf courses! No. 2 is slightly shorter, several doglegs, No. 1 straighter, longer, more difficult. Reception, clubhouse, pro shop a little and can be reached only by car! Secretariat extremely friendly and helpful. Good online booking options: starting time, buggy, trolley advance booking.

A golf dream in niergendwo

36 holes of the extra class! Whether the club house is situated at the entrance and then you just 1km again goes to the cars with the car falls on these two natural places certainly not the weight!
In cöllig unspoiled nature to play 36 holes for dirt cheap if you book out of Germany!
We were thrilled (necessarily play both!) Of the two places champ

Designed golf course without infrastructure

Have played at the beginning of March the Blue Course. The facility is located in the middle of nowhere. All Inrastruktur is not yet available, no clubhouse, but a very chic glossy brochure. The place was good from the plant, you can see that here was a good architect at work well. The real estate crisis has left its mark here, both in care as well as usual There is nothing on the court, you must first times 10 minutes drive from the entrance gate to the tee. There, the buggies and carts are issued makeshift. But it is also all alone. We have seen only two other flights in four hours. Has also times his Reitz, the investor asks just how long hold out.
