Booked online with nice flight partners. Check-in unproblematic, pro shop good. The first nine are quite undemanding. The motorway next to it is a nuisance. First waiting times due to slow flights ahead. No Marshall anywhere. Half way station rather weak. Greens neat, fairways ok, after all it's midsummer here. General condition satisfactory. Incredibly long waiting times on the second nine point to the cancellation. Can nsn dplay, msn sber doesn't have to. One of the worst places so far this year, we won't be coming back.

At € 45 - for 2 green fees you can actually be quite satisfied. At the beginning of April, the course was in very good condition with minor damage to a few fairways. The David Golf Club was originally founded for the Jewish community because it was not accepted by the other clubs. The club site - located close to the airport - is now being used for commercial purposes. It was squeezed right between the airport, its premises, streets and the bus depot. It's a shame that this course no longer exists, because it was really good - yes, excellent. It was considered the best course built by Bod Grimsdell.
We played there for the last time in 2005, and we particularly liked all of the trees.
It is unknown who designed the original course, Major Staffrod Hotchkin (1867-1953) revised it and others. He happened to become a course designer after buying a golf club in England. His work was heavily influenced by Harry Colt.
In 1993 the course was revised, the old Cluhaus burned down. In the same year they built a new one.
The parkland course with a great view of Table Mountain is divided by the railroad. The Settlers Way creates additional noise on the south side of the course, which the Rondebusch Golf Club is adjacent to.
It is not surprising that there are significantly fewer bunkers here than on other courses, because Hotchkin found them boring in a Parkland Course.
