Morbid charm with a well-kept 9-hole course with aspiration

Played on 3/4/2023. The 9-hole course (PAR 34) is located a little to the left of the A9 between Leipzig and Berlin in Dessau, embedded in a kind of office/industrial park. Offices and event locations were apparently made from old industrial buildings. You drive to the parking lot through what is probably the old entrance to the industrial site. The square itself is divided into two, separated by a busy road. The first four tracks are on the side where the parking lot, the restaurant (not used) and the club office are. Lanes 5-9 are across the street, where a vacant industrial building conveys a somewhat morbid charm. Behind Green 3, the furniture discounter Möbel Boss borders on the facility, at lane 5 or tee 6 you can see and hear the tram and from tee 9 you have a good view of the prefabricated buildings and in the distance a wonderful chimney. At lane 6 you play along an old wall that separates the place from an allotment garden. The tracks are almost all varied. Although there is only one tee option at a time, which makes a second round rather uninteresting, a lot of water comes into play on both sides of the course. Partial streams and small lakes were created. In addition to two to three doglegs, well-placed bunkers also come into play, so that there are enough challenges despite the short space. The condition of the fairways was excellent for the winter season. It was played by summer discounts and winter guns. On a slightly cool but dry later Saturday afternoon I was almost alone on the pitch. Since the club office was not occupied, I paid the green fee at the existing green fee mailbox. Exact instructions on how to do this were posted there. The green fee for 9 holes is a reasonable €30 or €35 on weekends. A surcharge of €5 for long-distance members is not nice, but it is still acceptable. There is a discount for winter games, so I paid €20 for 9 holes. Conclusion: You can also create an attractive 9-hole course on flat terrain. If you are in the vicinity, you should stop here and enjoy the atmosphere and, if necessary, eat something after the round, as many non-golfers apparently do. It smelled tempting!

An experience

A hidden, beautiful, lovingly designed top place.
By chance and the Albrecht golf guide green fee voucher book we ended up there. We were warmly welcomed in the secretariat and in the gastro. Part of the old Junckers airfield has been converted into a golf course. Excellent condition, medium-speed greens and 9 varied lanes awaited us. It was a pleasure to play on this well-tended course. Every divot hurt ;-)

You can even stay with a mobile home overnight in the parking lot. There is no electricity.
The steakhouse comes highly recommended.

Bauhaus sends greetings

Very nice town square with meanwhile Par 34 on 9Loch. He is in top condition, all very well maintained, not a little demanding by the beautifully landscaped and often well guarded greens.
The ambience on the old Junkers grounds is wonderfully framed with Bauhaus-style houses and industrial buildings.
Welcome to the office and take time to ask questions despite the tournament.
Gastronomy will be tested next time, but the number of guests at such an early hour and a little look inside, can only conclude on good.

Beautiful city square!

Played on 01.05.2017 (Hcp 12.8).
Welcome in the ProShop very nice and equal an instruction in the circumstances received. No birdie book available, but you can find your way.
Exercise facilities available, also covered.
Shots, fairways and greens were good. After hole four you have to change to the other side of the road.
The 9-hole city square is not the longest but still nice to play with its par 31. A par 5, two par 4 and six par 3. Planting is still a little bit poor, since the place is relatively young.
For the gastronomy the place has however clearly 5 stars, great interior decoration in the restaurant and service was very good.
Conclusion: Beautiful city square!

9-hole town square, solid state care

Location in the city of Dessau. basically perfectly and quickly accessible for fitting golfers in the region.

Unfortunately (at least for me) not a typical golf course feeling through the city location and views of apartment buildings, allotments and warehouses.

From the village and the old Junkersg / Army terrain certainly nonetheless made a pretty solid place - quite ok for a quick round after work.

Place is not so old, it shows him in some places still on( the lack of vegetation, plantations, under construction sand bunker.

Nevertheless, as in 2012, already much better condition before...

Putting area is quite nice - Range also sufficient.

Even on weekends never overly full.
