Very nice secretariat, all information about the course was mentioned before the start, for example transition to the next tee.
Also absolutely TOP, the greenkeepers! Everyone greets and shows consideration for the next blow. But the fact that a “lost” ball is “carried back” to you on the next hole, respect!!
Layout of the course is very good, bunkers/water/biotope exactly where they belong! I thought I was through and then the 18th came, a real conclusion, let yourself be surprised.

Played 08/2019 and wondered about the bad reviews to fairways, since the place - especially in August 2019 - much greener and better stood than all comparable clubs next door in the near Franconia. (Of course, Upper Bavaria had more rain.) We certainly praised Greenkeeper and receipt explicitly for it.
In general, I think the fairways designed pointed, as relatively harmless to handle for beginners, but above all with cheeky sophistication for frontal attack at 10-hand-rappers. Hardly blind or uneven spots. Extremely varied. Great place. A little bit like 'little Eichenried'. Excellent design for a slightly out-of-the-way place. Even if the exercise facilities are not so hip (you have to find it all at first, signage is not hip), everything fits in wonderfully. The tracks fascinate, do not force into the age ECart and keep in all fair demand awake until the last popping. That's how it should be.

First of all: We discovered the place a couple of years ago when we were in the area and have played 3 or 4 times since then and were thrilled at the beginning, but that got a little less with each one.
The one who created the course once did everything right. The layout is awesome, everything that makes golf is required on this course. Who can not place strategy, will have to write one or the other two-digit number on the map. Alone the 18 at the end, there is definitely already one or the other safely believed tournament victory in the water (literally ...). Staff and teammates are invariably obliging, the trappings are simple and functional, but I come here to play golf and not to see and be seen.
But now it comes - playing golf as you imagine it is practically impossible. The place is in a state that you would think he had at least a year no greenkeeper more. And completely, from the tees, fairways, bunkers, greens, everything. If there were no tee-off boards and flags you would wonder if you are on a golf course.
There were also almost no players on the course, although a spring Easter day in the best golf weather. If it continues like this, the place is threatened with dying.
Dear Herrnhof team, do not let it get that far. Restore this great place, so it's fun again.

Unfortunately - like many other clubs in Germany - the summer of 2018 caught us full broadside. We had no more water and were able to save only our greens by high financial and human effort.
It goes without saying that the grass could not grow in the cold season to minimize the damage, so the condition in April was still in the regeneration phase.
In the meantime, the place in most places could recover and shines (almost) in old beauty. Our golf club is by no means threatened with dying, for some time a dedicated team is permanently working on space and infrastructure, with quite presentable successes.
We would like to invite you and your companion to join us again to get an idea of yourself and to keep the GC Herrnhof in a better memory.

We played in Herrnhof for the first time this summer. Of course, the summer was hot and long, but there was not much left of a golf course, so burned there was everything. I have played this course for the first time this week and was very pleased. The holes are varied and in very good condition. The course is undulating and well balanced level of difficulty.
