Golf is so far away from here

Good design of course, All the rest is terrible. I played 18 holes in october and the greens (and fairways) were poor. The club is very expensive, but the SPA is the only beautiful thing. Go to La Rocca, Salsomaggiore e San Valentino!

Nice Spa not Course and Club

I didn't like it. Green aren't fast and rough is bad mantained. I paid a lot but the service was not good. Terrible restaurant and restrooms. Stay Away!

Beautiful place

I got to play this course heading into the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Based on the reviews regarding wild boar damage, I was a little skeptical.
However, I was taught better.
Incredibly warm secretariat. The charming old clubhouse.
Very good greens. Excitingly designed fairways, in very good condition for this time of year. Not such a boring parking lot.
The members are also unusual and what sets this place apart for me. I would. Since I was traveling alone, I wasn't asked to play through a flight of three, but rather to play along.!!
There is still some wild boar damage in front of the greens, but this does not detract from the good overall impression.
The small bistro was also excellent.
All around a great day of golf. You definitely have to play in this area.
Crunchy from not chicki - micki. Finally a golf course without the attitude of perfectionism

End of 09/2023

The course can be played well despite the recent drought. The greens are still really good. The first nine are still relatively easy, so you're looking forward to a good result, but then come the second nine. Let yourself be surprised. A nice course. Very nice people. Italian, of course. We played with the Leisurebreak for little money. Would love to come back.

Great place and super friendly staff

Visited Matilde in March 2023 with the motorhome. Despite the drought nice well-kept place. When we asked whether overnight stays with the camper would be possible, this was clearly answered in the affirmative.
We felt very comfortable and were received very nicely despite our lack of Italian knowledge. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Thank you very much for the great day of golf with you!

Fairly neat and friendly

Despite the extremely dry summer, a largely well-kept course. We only played the front nine. Risto no longer offered food in early October, at least not on the day we were there. The receptionist is exceptionally friendly - take a shower and spend the night with the camper in the parking lot, no problem at all...

Good parkland course

Absolutely agree with the last reviews! Very good care, really good design in a beautiful park landscape! We played with Golfhäftet (-50%) for €25 incl. 18-hole car! We found that for this good place almost too cheap!
GC Modena, GC Ducato Parma & GC Matilde di Canossa are the 3 best places in Emilia Romagna for me!

Good place

Slightly hilly and in good condition for October.
The lanes are fair and the greens are well and fairly secured with bunkers.
The personnel is very friendly and courteous.
75 € for two green fees (18 holes) and an eCart are really a bargain.
Only the dog ball disturbs something.
The restaurant is also recommended.

Good golfing experience

We both HCP 10 played the course on October 7th, 2020. The lanes are embedded in a variety of ways in the slightly hilly terrain. Signage and route descriptions are perfect. The whole course is in good condition, the greens not that fast, but even. The back nine have a few water hazards, but they are manageable for all skill levels. The green fee cost us 35 euros per person. In short, we were completely satisfied, even if the barking of dogs from the adjacent dog holiday home accompanied us on some lanes. We can recommend the place.

Beautifully landscaped golf course

Both have a higher handicap and therefore maybe not such a high standard. € 50 green fee for 18 holes, 2 for 1 paid through leisure breaks. At hole 3 right next to a kennel or breeding, it was a bit noisy. Hole 10-18 partly with water hazards. Registration at the restaurant entrance and not as expected at the secretariat.

Great alternative in winter

We played the golf course Matilde di Canossa last weekend (17th and 18.1.2015) for the first time and were more than pleasantly surprised. Despite the rain the day before the place was well playable and the greens were even in excellent condition. The course is challenging, it is possible with precise strokes but get good results. For the winter months, at all events a great alternative, we go back there again.
