This course is located on the site that used to be used by the Swiss Army. It was still very young and not so well established everywhere. The fairways suffered from the water of the mountain pressure. Now everything looks much better, the problem areas have been dealt with.
It is a very sporty - playful and physical - course. The height of almost 1500 meters above sea level, as well as the location of the holes in this high valley, which is actually a ski area, ensures differences in altitude that are large. The wind almost always spoils the game, hardly a chance of par if it plays along properly. He starts his work when the thermals set in, shortly before noon. In addition, the grass is very robust, hard and tough, there are only a few free meters. After the two flat opening holes, it goes into the "wall" along the mountain slope to the highest point of the course. Great view of the valley. The second nine are not that physically demanding.
The greens have good, sometimes quite large dimensions. They are not easy to play, built with sometimes neat differences in level, and also very hanging ones. It's good that they weren't that fast.
It's great fun to play this great and very well-maintained course, but humility and enough balls must be in the bag. You have to look closely at the floor markings on individual tees, otherwise you could face the wrong fairway or even the wrong direction.
