Fantastic golf course with a value for money!

I played at this golf course a few weeks ago right after the second covid-19 shutdown and I was very impressed with everything.
The quality of the course is phenomenal. The value is great. The service was spectacular. I have nothing but glowing remarks for this course.
Perfectly executed in a cadence with its surrounding.
By the way, my son attended a junior golf camp for kids and the coach was pretty darn good and really catered to the kids.

I played almost 300 fields. I've seen a bit already. Zala Golf is a fantastic place. The field was perfectly prepared. Interestingly located and wonderfully laid out. We also spent 3 days in apartments by the field. Very high standard of service. Excellent cuisine in the club restaurant. We will be back for sure

We played 5 days during 2 weeks on this course. And during all days our impression remained the same as on the first day: wonderful and challenging course, nice set up, middle fast greens, well supported fairways, very friendly people and last but by far not least excellent food. We highly recommend Zala Springs!

For the years I was so looking forward to come to this course. I heard only superlatives, so I expected something great. True is reality is a bit different. They are selling dream there. Arriving there you see a lot of investment there. All is very modern and nice, nice accommodation. Huge parking lot and big training facility. Should I comment surrounding, no nothing spectacular. Nothing to see. Now to the game, we were asked to start from back tee since there were some course maintenance. Course design is quite boring, I do not remember many holes, fairways were nice and wide, what was horrible were tee boxes. I understand they were sanded but the way they did it was horrible. Also what I did not like was maintenance person following us to every green to cut just when we played. We finished back and wanted to start play front and than we were told that we cannot. It took some discussion, explaining and they said its open but we lost about 20 minutes and frustration was build. Anyway front nine is nicer than back. Orientation on course is a bit difficult you do not see signs next tee nothing, so and when you asked for birdie card, its not available, why, it does not cost much. The best here was helpful lady at reception. So for me it was a bit disappointment compare courses like Pannonia in Hungary, this is one is worst than others.

Seven nights of golf every day were really fun. Fair course with pitfalls in wonderful condition. Great golf course - quick and easy to get to from Austria. Platz is very sporty and can really show his teeth. I find the courses very interesting and varied and 2-3 laps in a row are a lot of fun. We became aware of ZalaSprings due to the various reports in some golf magazines and stayed on site for five days. We had booked a studio and actually intended to play 4 rounds of golf.
When evaluating, you have to make a clear distinction between the golf course itself, the gastronomy and the accommodation in the studios.
About the golf course: Course is in good condition with good training facilities. Since it is on a level, you have no view of the distance, but you can see the very green surroundings. It's nothing special compared to many other inland golf courses.
After two rounds we didn't feel like playing a third or even a fourth round.
In return, we drove to the Balaton Golf Club. A really very down to earth and very very interesting golf course. Not so exclusive, but much nicer! Demanding and individual fairways there!
But now to the resort itself and the gastronomy.
The first surprise was when we checked in at 12:45 p.m. (although the room was free and ready and it really wasn’t full, since it was pre-season) and didn’t want to hand it over to us before 3 p.m. without a surcharge for early check-in…
Not a good start, we thought.
Since golfers are very sociable, we talked to a few there on the first day. The opinions on the quality of the dinner was very clear. So that we didn't feel like eating there in the evening anymore. Then we went out to eat every day.
Then came breakfast. A complete catastrophe! In exchange with other golfers, we were of the opinion that the quality for a house with this claim is completely unacceptable. Much too small buffet and everything was constantly empty. You just had to ask for anything.
The studios themselves are modern - but still very old. Unfortunately, you can see that the maintenance has been very neglected. The shower in the room was black in the corners, the tiles were partially broken, the lamps were very dusty. Simply not very clean overall...
Due to the partly good rating, we were really looking forward to the days here, but were unfortunately very disappointed! Our conclusion: we would not go there again.

We were a guest in the resort on July 14th and 15th and also twice at the campsite.

The Zalasprings Resort is certainly one of the most interesting resorts in Central Europe. My longtime flight and I were more than enthusiastic about the whole system. Everything totally well maintained and an arrival from Austria always worth it!
Very friendly, nice club building and well stocked pro shop.
My tip for accommodation: live in the adjacent (adjacent to the fairways) Baroque castle of the princes Batthiany. Overnight / breakfast from € 25,00 pp and dinner buffet € 10,00 - we are not priced better.
