I played the course on 10/12/2022.
The day before I had ordered rental clubs to be held for me, which unfortunately was forgotten. After several phone calls from a nice employee, I finally got my racket. But the composition was very unusual, 2,3 and 4 irons and no sand wedge. No golfer needs irons like that and I don't think beginners can handle them at all.
I found it unusual, but very positive, that the range balls are included in the green fee and are even stacked in a pyramid.
Impressive was the absolute calm on this place and the beautiful view of the Wetterstein Mountains and the Prealps. The fairways and greens were in good condition.
Some of the holes are quite demanding, eg hole 3 and hole 8 with lots of water, hole 17 with a foregreen that drops steeply on one side.
The good impression is marred by the bad experience in the restaurant. I waited for a waitress, no one came. Went into the next room, where an employee was working on the coffee machine. Said I wanted something to eat, but there's no one in the restaurant, no answer. Back to the restaurant, went, waited, nobody came. We really like the layout of Donald Harradine compared to Beuerberg - it offers more variety - the par 4 holes are longer, making it more demanding. This is also ensured by the many old trees, which sometimes constrict the landing areas of the drives - make them narrow - but also have a massive impact on the impact on the green. If you are on the wrong side with the drive, the par is gone. The terrain creates additional demands, including hanging fairways. The bunkers are expertly placed, which can save an unsuccessful drive, but also provide additional work.
The greens are even very difficult in some cases, almost mean - you have gone to great lengths to build them. Fortunately, they weren't that fast today - even though the ball speed was the best of the three places (Beuerberg and Feldafing).
Today the course was very long, several par 4 mutated to par 5, the ground did not want to give meters.
Everyone in the clubhouse was surprised, the scores were better than in Feldafing, the difficulty level should actually be reversed - even though the ground conditions were roughly the same. The good chips saved our score.
Very well maintained golf course with a nice club house - the staff as well.
All were for five stars, which one - Feldafing or St. Eurach - the better one is a matter of opinion, both are very good. For us, Feldafing is a favorite - as a whole - it is more challenging to play here.
Both are included in the list of the Top 100 of Germany - they were also in the list of the Top 50 - in the first third.
