No service and mismanaged

Tried to play Saadiyat today - my booked tee time had been lost by the course staff - was then re-found at different time but no carts on the course available - offensive, helpless and rude staff. I cannot assess course but not worth the visit given the atmosphere.

Spectacular!

Unique bunker and western landscapes all filled with snow-white dune sand!
Partly spectacular sea views of the Gulf and the Arabian sand gazelles make the course unique! The fairways are perfectly maintained and the strongly undulating greens are very difficult to putt and are very reminiscent of links golf.
Care, service, layout and design Gary Player did a perfect job!

Nice place - currently with a major construction site next to it

I played the course in March under ideal conditions. Fairways and greens in very good condition. A lot of sand and sand bunkers around the fairways, which you have to get used to as they are often unavoidable. Tactical play is clearly an advantage here. Although sand bunker is very understated. It is a pity that there is a large construction site around the fairways, which spoils the overall impression.

Fantastic with huge bunker landscapes and gazelles

Played on February 10th, 2020. The 18-hole course on Saadiyat Island directly near Abu Dhabi primarily captivates with huge bunkers or wasteareas, where sooner or later you will inevitably find yourself inside. The bunkers in particular give the course its very special layout. You need a certain basic length from the medium-sized men's tees to get across one or the other rough zone to the fairway. Even if nobody asks about it, an HC of 28 should be if you want to have fun, otherwise the front tees are recommended. There are some water hazards, otherwise most fairways are quite open and the rough is not quite as dense. The condition was perfect and the greens were quick and faithful. A special experience on the course are the free-roaming gazelles, which are also sometimes in the bunker, on the green or directly in front of the tees. The bird world is also very diverse and present everywhere. Some construction sites along the fairways are also present. It will stay that way for a while, but it didn't bother us so much. There is a driving range with free balls, a large practice area and also the modern club house and restaurant (food and service in order) offers everything golfers need in a sophisticated atmosphere. The staff is absolutely friendly and courteous. The bags will be taken from you on arrival and then provided with the cart at the driving range. A cart is mandatory and also recommended, as some distances between the tees are a little longer. One day you drive past the beach of the Hotel St. Regis, so to speak. The cart has GPS (no markers on the tees), but like all Troon courses in Abu Dhabi, plastic water bottles are no longer given for environmental reasons. But at least there are small towels in the cart. Water can be tapped at each tee. On both 9-hole loops there is a catering station with air-conditioned toilets in the middle. We booked a start time online via the Troon homepage, teed off on a Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. and thus converted about € 100 green fee per person via the online booking. The green fee varies depending on the day of the week and the time of day. The game operation around the time was manageable and, although there were only two of us, there were no waiting times. Compared to YAS, we would rate the system better because it is more demanding, more attractive from the landscape and overall better maintained.

The design is a matter of taste

We (both single HCP) played the course on a day when a big tournament took place at the same time. The result: chaos when starting, finally, we started at 9 and have (probably behind the tournament) alone needed 3 hours with Cart for 9 holes. Thankfully, when the tournament was finished, it was faster (5 hours in total).
The place itself was very well maintained, there is nothing to complain about.
We did not like the space of the design so much. Each lane looks almost the same: Huge bunker landscapes as far as the eye can see. No classic golf course design.
For the game flow a catastrophe is that the green areas are closed for carts very early, at a hole even about 140 m before. The result: a constant back and forth despite Cart.
Overall, you have in my view, in order to have some fun on the course, green can play high (strong bunkering around the greens), can bring the ball from the tee on the track (left and right equal to dunes in which the ball disappears) and dominate bunker play.
The often talked about building and construction activity we found here rather disturbing. The houses are totally different from the design, it all seems a bit confused. Around hole 5 is really a large construction site, which is not fenced at all and causes strong noise.
Visually great from the view, however, are the holes at the St. Regis Hotel on the beach.
Conclusion: Of course, the course must have seen, if you golf in Abu Dhabi, a second time would not be a must for us.

So la

I (HC 10.5) have played the course on 22.01.2018. Service was good, for the price too. The course is dominated by the many bunkers (very long fairway bunkers). If you play on score then it is essential to play strategically. Even if I did not like the layout so much, I have to mention that the place was in good condition. To be fair, I must mention at this point that I am still blinded by comparison to the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. I got to know him 3 days after the world's best players (EGA tournament) had played. Absolutely fantastic. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club had a hard time keeping up.

Sand there is enough

Great golf course with some challenges. Lots of sand and the two it looks from the tee as if the fairway is only 10 meters wide. present happy times. Athletic created with very good greens. A great experience and with the Cart you have one right across the St Regis.

Challenging Golf Seaside

Beautifully landscaped and moderate course in perfect conditions.

The tracks are created varied and quite challenging, this stems from the length (6,100 m from the front Men's haircuts). On some tracks there are (still) sea view: Although the years construction activity off the field disrupts the game is not really the holes with ocean views but are less.

The problem referred to the Women's haircuts is unchanged, often the front ladies tees are positioned only after the start of the fairway. The then promises enjoyment golf for the ladies, the sporting claim suffers for it.

Overall, really nice and recommended, green fees and the travel time absolutely worth it.

Great Place

This place joins to the other 2 top places (Yas Links and Abu Dhabi Golf Club) as a 5 star.
Dream place, no hole is like another.
Many bunkers and landscapes characterize the place.
Precise and play strategic is necessary to achieve a good score.
For me, the most beautiful holes are the 5,10, with its pot-bunkers and 15!
Clubhouse and restaurant perfectly!!

Presupposes top site, humility

Our vacation week we spent at the St. Regis Hotel. Highly Recommended!! Great location with very high service level, super food and very well suited as a starting point for the various golf courses.

From the hotel we were taken to the hotel buggy to the clubhouse, there was already our Cart ready and we had not even move you to play the Cart. Driving range, putting green and short game area in a comfortable walking distance. I have rarely seen such a good practice facilities. Check In and starters were very friendly, a bit earlier than planned start was not a problem. "The problem", it only became in the square. There is actually no hole to take a breather. Almost every hole is equipped with spacious bunker areas, the greens are very well defended, water hazards, there are not many, but the few definitely come into play. For men is sebst the front tee challenging, relaxed vacation Golf looks different.

The first holes pass through a residential community, then it goes towards the sea. The course combines elements thus Parkland and Links. Very varied. Something disturbing the extensive construction works are virtually along the entire course. And they will probably continue for some time. While this does not change the quality of the fairways, but golf is just an overall picture and just the visually beautiful holes on the sea disrupt nunmal heavy construction equipment. The condition is perfect, the greens top. But if one has a bad day, the water hazard has on the 18 for the embedding of the club sets. I have this quite contemplated.

Conclusion: excellent but very severe course in the middle of a construction site

Super nice golf course

Beautiful golf course with breathtaking scenery bunker. The course is situated directly on the sea and is very well maintained. Only the greens could be a little faster.

Top Place

Very beautiful and varied place at a high level of play.
Despite the many bunkers an exciting place, which partly runs along the sea. Care condition and signs are excellent. It always blew a little cool breeze from the sea, so that you still could play well in the afternoon. The food in the clubhouse was good and relatively inexpensive.

Very happy again!

We have already knocked off at 07:30 in the morning. An incredibly great golfing experience. The air is still fresh and beautiful lush green space with spectacular holes. You play down to the beach. The course maintenance is as Abu Dhabi as a whole: Top maintained. I was here on business and will certainly private refuse again here. Highly Recommended.

Just great

We were the end of February 2014 in Abu Dhabi and have unfortunately played the course only once. Since the ladies tees are really very far forward, the girls have played from the foremost men's tee, went fine. There are plenty of bunkers and the greens are not without, it still makes the place just plain fun, no train is boring. The outlook is for the most part like a dream, from track 9 to 10, it goes right along the beach. The service was also very good. My absolute favorite in Abu Dhabi.

It is not unfair!

First of all, the place is ok despite the many bunkers, you just have summer essential 7/8 clock in the morning to start because of the temperature. Service and best club. However, with the score card gehts los: yellow tee( 65 y male, female tee red 64J> are already on par 3 115 yards difference at a 5 Pa up to 170 yards What is the also the discounts are...? difficult for men additionally with bunkers and hazards. Felt as a man right, "fooled" in the club just told me that the place very "female friendly" would be... could even knock off of another tea! HAHAHA. conclusion nätürlich I have not played the place, and enjoyed the rest of our holiday in nearby St. Regis Hotel. WS Hartmann

Best Golf Course in Abu Dhabi

What I was beside the sea in November 2012, two times in Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, the resort is very well maintained, the service once and especially the fairways are very impressive. Both times I have met too wild gazelles that live here. The clubhouse is very noble and labeled with our names on golf cars and lockers in the changing rooms a nice surprise.

A very neat place, situated in the unique terrain 18 tracks not only impress with its playful charm and the beautiful view of the sea, but also by the aura that surrounds the place. The club house is very nice and the food excellent.

Super nice place!

We played the course three times in December 2011. The service is outstanding. Already at the arrival of golf bags will be received and loaded onto the golf cart. Driving range use, balls, tees and water are included. The golf cart is also necessary because the cars are sometimes very far apart. We have about 80 a week - paid € per person green fee. Absolutely fair price. Weekend is more expensive. The tee times can be booked directly through the Internet. Here one may be certain times also take discounts to complete. The place has many bunkers and is sometimes very challenging but always fair. The wonderful views compensate sometimes for a worse score. There are several water dispenser on the way and two Comfort Stations. At the end of the round were served chilled towels to refresh ourselves then. The restaurant in the clubhouse has a very good food at reasonable prices. total is only recommended because it is not very crowded and you also even have time to take a picture of the beautiful scenery of the place.
