Very nice course

Despite recently burned club-house (March 2011) and waiting for the brand new clubhouse in Q4 2013, the course is still in outstanding conditions. The maintenance is quite perfect and greens are indulated making quite difficult to hole in one putt ;-)
Locker rooms and bar-restaurant available in the temporary club-house.

Parkland with traffic noise and expensive

Played on 10/14/2021. The slightly hilly 18-hole course (cart not required for normal athletes) is located south of the city of Liège in a suburb on a hill. Coming from Aachen it is approx. 60km, whereby you then have to drive completely through the city of Liège past the Maas. Depending on the traffic, you should plan a time buffer. On the way uphill to the club, you drive past some magnificent villas, which you can then marvel at from the other side, also from the golf course (lanes 3 and 4). The villas and thus also the golf course are practically right next to the expressway, which cannot be overheard, especially on Front 9. Otherwise you play a classic parkland course with tall, ingrown trees on all lanes. There is only a real small water hazard at lane 14. A two doglegs and a few raised tees and that was the highlights, as most of the tracks go straight ahead and the bunkers are rather manageable. There is no high rough, after the semi-rough there is forest. So the courserating is also very low. The hardest are certainly the sometimes extremely undulating greens. Overall, the condition was okay, if not outstandingly good. Unfortunately the place was very wet and soft, you had to be careful not to slip away. From the rain of the previous days there was still water in some bunkers. The game was very busy on a dry, slightly sunny Thursday afternoon. Not all members gave a friendly greeting. One flight after the other went around and there were waiting times. As a guest, you can use the form on the homepage to request a start time. Since I had no answer after 24 hours, I then called and was given a start time for the next day. The employee in the secretariat was very nice and friendly and explained everything to me. Despite the wet course, I had to pay the full green fee of 85 € (weekend 100 €), which was not appropriate in my opinion. A discount would certainly have been appropriate, but at least the range balls are free. The drinving range is quite small and discounts are only possible from mats. The secretariat is separate from the sophisticated clubhouse to the right of the parking lot. The clubhouse itself has the sanitary facilities and a restaurant (not in use) with a terrace along the 10th lane (PAR 3). I didn't see any toilets on the square. Those who love parkland are sure to get their money's worth here. But I am of the opinion that this is rather average compared to other parking lots. Too much traffic noise and too expensive. Therefore only 3 stars, with a tendency to 4. From my point of view, there are more interesting places around Liège.

Indeed...

..Great. Although other places in the surrounding area have suffered from the weather conditions of recent weeks and months - here is nothing to feel it. At the end of September we received 18 well maintained, challenging tracks surrounded by mature trees with excellent, fast greens. Friendly welcome, range balls included in the green fee, beautiful clubhouse. I have to agree with the previous speaker: one of the top golfing destinations in Belgium.
