Characteristics

The very well manicured 18-hole course is situated on an island between the Rhine and the Grand Canal d'Alsace on French terrain. In an idyllic environment, the fairways run through the former Rhine meadows, which are today a nature, hunting and bird reserve. Many holes offer a magnificent view on the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains. An old stock of trees surrounds the partly very narrow fairways and demand a precise game.

Attention! Theft and broken PW's are normal if you are a foreigner!

1.0 out of 5 starsReviewed August 15, 2012

To the place I can not fully express myself, because we were interrupted. It seemed to be well maintained and quiet.
BUT: Our car was parked outside the club in line with many others, was broken into and we were robbed! Everything you put in the trunk, as Burburry handbag, ALL papers, camera in hand bag, badges of the employer brand glasses optician with glasses ect. The club manager has called the police and interpretation. But not without saying - that you would always robbed foreigners (we come from Luxembourg and Switzerland) and finally one knows. Also there were dressing rooms you can rent. The lady at the front desk had but none of it mentioned or offered on the purchase of green fees. Also, no refund of half green fees (including ECAR booked) has been proposed, or any other gesture! In the morning there was no one to see except the cleaning lady and the receptionist when we arrived and the reception was even closed. Only our car was broken in under 2 hours absence, 2 Parking bay at the gate, 15m next to the reception! Damage several thousand euros + the whole trouble!
So if you do not want to be robbed, you go 'naked' or somewhere else - we will never set foot in this club and can not recommend such a thing!

Trees as far as the eye can see.

4.0 out of 5 starsReviewed October 31, 2011

We handicap. 13 + 17, have the space on 28 October 2011 played. The quality of the fairways and greens was very good. The course is flat and the tracks are all very similar. The difficulty lies in the precise game because of the beautiful old trees makes the optically narrow fairways. Nevertheless, the balls can almost always be played from the "forest". The only water hazard on the last hole, a pity that despite the location of the place between two rivers no longer has it.
