Looks better then it is

Played in Nov 23 and the golf course is looking better then it plays.
Quite a bit up and down, greens are not very fast and the ball does not roll a bit on the fairways.
Where it drops it stopps.

Pleasant course

Played the round off white to get some distance (6140 m).
Yellow would be only 5640m.
Fairways are in good condition, greens are good quality too but much too slow for the price you pay.
Course lay out is nothing special, pretty wide fairways.

A typical resort course for the area, but lots of walking and over priced

A good variety of holes over gently undulating ground. The fairways and greens are generous and were in good condition when we played.
The drive on the 3rd is unfair as the fairway slopes severely to the right and most people play their second shots from the rough - the owners should spend funds here instead of stupid flowerbeds that have recently been introduced around some tees - they add nothing and cost more to maintain.

Like other Quinta courses, slow play is often common at certain times.

Beautiful Place

A beautifully landscaped and perfectly maintained golf course, I really liked it.
Everything is actually ok, clubhouse, service, restaurant, etc. Unfortunately, most of the fairways hang, although you play in the middle, the balls end up somewhere, you never stand straight. In addition, you have to drive xtimes on a public road where the cars drive very fast on some of them.
That's a shame, but still one of the most beautiful places in the Algarve.

Busy resort golf

Played on 8/27/2022. Today we played the last of the three Quinta do Lago courses with the north course. In principle, it is similar to the Südplatz. It is open, has little high rough, one to three water hazards and some differences in altitude. In my opinion, it won't be boring, but the highlights are missing here as well. You play through the resort along some villas, but from my perspective a few fewer than on the south course. You cross a few public roads here several times and a cart makes sense here, especially because of some longer distances between the tees. Incidentally, after 9 holes, in contrast to the south course, you are not immediately back at the clubhouse. The condition here was as good as perfect, just like on the south. However, there was a lot of activity here on a Saturday afternoon. In principle, every 8 minutes a flight of four started after the other. There are therefore waiting times and so the round drags on a little. Experience has shown that afternoons are less busy. The green fee in the "Summer Special" with a cart was €109 per person. I don't understand where the 10 € difference between north and south comes from. Everyone should decide for themselves which place they like better. The south course has at least one sea/beach view.

Loud and a bit boring

The range is nice, but the well-developed short game area is only accessible to members! There is no birdie book / stroke saver which is a rudeness to green fee players. A heavily frequented place, the staff friendly nonetheless. The layout is a bit monotonous. The street noise and the noise on the construction sites of the villas close to the railways is really annoying at times. The greens are fast and on track, the bunkers are well maintained. The distances between the lanes are uncomfortably long and many busy roads often have to be crossed, so it makes sense to use a cart, although space is rather flat. Clearly the worst place in Quinat do Lago.

Fun on the Gulf

We played the course in early June and it was in perfect condition. The greens are fast and line-loyal and the fairways and bunker neatly maintained. There are some interesting and challenging tracks, but overall it is a place where real holiday golf can be played. For ladies, the space is very short and it is recommended to take the tee behind to get a little more length. Quinta do Lago South is the nicer place!

Really nice (winter) holiday golf

End of December: Top in the form of lush green semirough. Since the redesign two classes better. Although there are some challenging holes, but overall very pleasant to play. The pitfalls are partly to the greens (eg, fast, sloping Vorgrüns). Sure, there are more spectacular places, but few have such a high relaxation factor. In memory remains a happy round of well-groomed pine forests (only partially built with villas) - so golf is just fun.

Great

What funny people rate golf courses. The place is great. If I read here 3.5 stars, the comb swells me. OK, it is expensive, but you also get exquisite golf. Partially crass long, but this is due to our inadequacy.

A beautiful walk through a park.

played in December 2016

Excellent course maintenance, staff very friendly, green fee package (all 3 Quinta do Lago courses) very low.

The place is good to go, despite some longer distances between the holes.

Prima

Fee ü / Agency approx. € 80, -, space demanding and varied, very fast greens, Condition good; trolley recommended for "walking difficulties" environment: villas, still: the South Course I like even better!
