Characteristics
The Corales golf course is part of the Punta Cana Resort. It is an ocean-side course designed by Tom Fazio. Six of the holes are directly on the ocean set alongside a rocky coastline. The course features lakes, coconut palms, sea-side canyons and rocky cliffs with views of the ocean from many holes.The 18th hole requires a tee shot to carry over the ocean making a spectacular finish to this beautifully designed course.
The magnificent ocean-front vistas of La Cana Golf Course will captivate the most discerning golf design connoisseurs, while its well-fortified greens challenge the game’s toughest competitors. Designed by P. B. Dye, La Cana boasts fourteen ocean-view holes with four playing right on the water’s edge, and its state-of-the-art Seashore Paspalum grass allows for maintenance with minimal environmental impact.

we have the places Hacienda / Tortuga on 29.10. and Corales played on 10/31/2022
To Corales: beautiful layout with several lanes towards or along the sea. Fareways, greens and bunkers in excellent condition. Only the renovations / construction sites caused by the hurricane and the resulting provisional positions at holes 8 and 9 prevented the 5*.
Also special are the daily changing greens at hole 3 and 9 as well as the changing lane at hole 15!
Caddy and reception also very friendly and courteous.
to Hacienda / Tortuga: Fareways and bunkers in good condition. The greens on Tortuga were rock hard and covered with (too much) sand, which completely changed the game on the second 9 holes.
However, both 9 holes are no comparison to Corales, and not only because of the missing sea view.
The (separate) reception could also be a bit friendlier.
Conclusion: If a course should definitely be played, then definitely choose Corales!

Did the two courses Hacienda and Arricife play on 08/19/2022.
There was no warm welcome at the golf reception, but the caddy master was very accommodating. He assigned us a caddy and he immediately took over the command and accompanied us to the driving range and the practice facility. We didn't have to worry about drinks, teas and everything else.
We played Hacienda first. A parkland course without major highlights, but with heavy greens and top care.
We played the second nine at Arrecife. A difficult course with lots of water and contact with the sea on the last 2 holes.
Both places are lined with top-class villas and therefore have an American flair.
The highlight is the free shuttle service from all hotels in the Punta Cana area when you reserve through the website.

I played the course on December 31,2021, just like at Punta Espada there is a caddy duty. Its "reading aid" is absolutely necessary as the greens are very fast, difficult and sometimes very undulating. Particularly interesting are holes 3,8 and 9 from "Arricife", the latter two running directly along the ocean. In comparison, "Hacienda" offers comparatively few challenges.
The course was in excellent condition, so the green fee of 175 USD plus caddy fee of 30 USD (+ TIP) are absolutely reasonable.
If you are in Punta Cana you should definitely have this place on your "playlist".
