Characteristics
Situated within the nature reserve Ria Formosa, the natural environment for numerous birds, Pinheiros Altos is an original golf couse, which combines two parts with nine holes each annd two totally different characterics. While the first nine holes are situated on snady ground in the middle of fine pine trees and hilly terrain, the second part of the course spreads over undulating hills with a lot of water hazards.The additional 9 holes, created by the highly regarded Portuguese golf architect George Santana da Silva, opened in 2007.

This golf course is unsympathetic to us!
It was then sold to us on the first tee to announce that the fairways are not to be used e-buggies.
