Nice place but expensive with little feel-good factor

Extensive facility with exciting, varied and well-kept fairways with beautiful houses at a respectful distance. Lots of water with deep grass often crosses and accompanies you. A few more balls in the bag are not wrong. Tees, bunkers and greens are top notch. The little contoured greens were fast.
Trolley and walking is great because flat and short distances.
Seating for halfway catering is uncomfortable and the narrow terrace at the clubhouse with a view of the Caddy forecourt and the 18 is not so comfortable for a drink after the round. Unfortunately, we left quickly. But maybe there is a nicer place?
So we left the place with mixed feelings: the place is very nice and everything on the facility is professional. But €160 (green fee/club hire/trolley) is too much (for SA) and we didn’t really feel comfortable. During our vacation we played many other golf courses where the golf experience and the relation to the costs were better. So it was a nice day of golf, but we won't repeat it. The same package with a higher feel-good factor cost €120 in De Zalze and €100 in St. Francis Links.
Fancourt is more expensive but in a different league. Conclusion: Play OK there... Favorite place no.

We have played on the 12.12.2019 to end our holiday here 18 holes and were completely thrilled. Greenfee 130, - € incl. Cart (compulsory) for two people we found ok, because everything is super organized with a great service. How were already expected in the parking lot. Our golf bags were brought to our personalized golf cart during the registration process.
Water was included and could be refilled on many tracks.
The Proshoppersonal was great and has explained us in the building, the premises. A great atmosphere even with the lockerrooms.
The fairways and greens were well maintained here at times only the greenkeeper annoyed the felt only our current track had to water. At halfwaystop our rackets were cleaned and ice cream was added to the cart.
It was an all-round carefree package that we would gladly recommend. In our experience really one of the best places in this region!

We paid for 18 holes incl. Cart € 110 per person. In itself, you would not need a cart, but it was prescribed to us. Unfortunately, the place does not have the perfect care condition that you can ask for the South African very high price. The condition was good for the summer, not worth the price. Now, one has to say that on the holes 10-18, unfortunately, an entourage of nurses spoiled our game, because we really felt persecuted or disturbed. A typical Jack Nicklaus place. Great plant at its best. However, for South Africa completely overpriced green fee prices. On the completely empty driving range you can only 60 minutes before the assigned tee time.

We played the course in February 2017 and loved it.
The first place we played on our SA-golf trip, on the driving range (included) strategically located just before tee 1 and you can actually hit a few balls before without much effort.
The paths are well laid out. The place is not easy: (from right tea) bunker right in the landing zone Drive, narrow green inputs, small strike areas on the greens, lots of water.
The bunkers are perfectly maintained. The greens were the fastest that we have experienced in SA. The fairways were also very well maintained despite the current water shortage in the region.
A cart is in the green fees included and recommended because of the not so short distances between the tracks.

Highlight was the beautiful clubhouse with a great terrace that really invites you to linger after the round. Delicious food at Halfway and Club Restaurant.
