Great places, generous area

Arnold Palmer one of the Big Five golfers and golf course designers has done very good work here and built two great courses in 1994 (Ridge) and 1995 (Canal) - he can make it easy.
The Ridge-Course was used as a PGA Tour-place until a few years ago and we played it.
A lot of earth was moved around the place, which was not quite flat. The result is a very demanding, well-on course with a lot of water - especially on the second Nine - as well as many and very large fairway bunkers. There is a lot of space to run the driver, some fairways have rather narrow landing zones. On the first four holes, trees are close to the track. Then he becomes more open.
The greens are very heavy and fast, but good to play. They are defended by proper bunker landscapes. The direct path requires courage and self-confidence. We all played well but left our greens on the greens.
All holes are very good, but three stick out, the holes 4.7, and 18 - especially the closing hole - so our opinion. The course is listed in the top 50 of British Columbia.
Great and big clubhouse to stay with very nice staff.
It was great fun to play here.
