Measured by the topography and golfing pleasure, you could give the place a pretty good 3-star level.

The old place with a really nice layout unfortunately lives from tradition.
Wonderfully run fairways, always exciting and with many beautiful views of the sea.
I was particularly impressed by course 17, a par 5, a hammer hole.
Then why only 3 stars? Unfortunately, this is due to the lack of space maintenance. The fairways are littered with many bald spots and make a very unkempt impression.
A second example was the unfortunately uncut and therefore very slow greens. The putting green was mowed and very quick, the anticipation for beautiful greens was great and then the disillusionment - no mown greens - a no go!
The driving range in its equipment did not necessarily leave the best impression.

Bod Grimsdell built this course in the mid-1920s. At the turn of the millennium, the entire course was revised by Obermeyer and Basson.
The course created over the cliffs has a good layout, but is not a top course in our opinion. The playful challenges are not that high.
It is a slightly hilly area with many teas which gives a great view of the Indian Sea and is easy to play on foot.
If the conditions are good - no wind - it is easy to play.
