Characteristics

The vicinity of the Molinetto Country club to Milan certainly played a part in making this one of the busiest courses in the hinterland of the north-itlaian metropole. Finished in 1983, the Italian Open already took place here in 1985. Ballesteros and Chapman played here. It is a typical flat course, complicated by narrow fairways, which force to play precisely.

A somewhat short, fun course.

I played in mid June and the course was in decent shape. The greens were a little torn up but we played in the late afternoon after a tournament so some damage is expected. Overall, the course was fun and a little challenging when you got around the water. The price on this website is incorrect though. We payed €45 to play 9-holes on a weekday. A little pricey for the condition of the course.

4 stars for Molinetto

The Molinetto GCC is a top maintained parkland course! Typical for northern Italy and especially for Lombardy around Milano!
Tall old trees, fast greens and several water hazards characterize the design of the course.
The large clubhouse with good food should not be missed.
Clear 4 star place for 65, - €!

Advisable

Very nice and well ingrown, but quite noisy due to the railway line and the busy country road right next to some railways. Not entirely harmless for passing cars. We should have used the Birdiebook that was offered to us at the reception more often. Many tracks are criss-crossed by trenches that cannot be seen, but they are in the Bierdiebook.
