Characteristics

Designed by the legendary Gary Player, Modry Las is ranked among the top 100 golf courses in Europe. Surrounded by lush forests, the 7,126-yard, par-72 championship course overlooks two spring-fed lakes in the idyllic West Pomerania region of Poland .

Modry Las is a naturally beautiful golf course in northwestern Poland, built on 321 acres (130 hectares) on gently rolling terrain, nestled between an oak, pine and birch forest and the untouched, spring-fed Radun Lake. The 18-hole championship course is the first to be designed by Gary Player in Central-Eastern Europe.

The course winds along the lake’s edge and stretches around ponds, streams and fields of wildflowers. Fairways are marked by breathtaking stretches of landscape and strategically placed signature Gary Player bunkers.

Modry Las is rated one of the Top 100 Golf Courses and was built to be one of Europe’s top courses.

After a day of golfing, you may want to relax in the Spa or try some of the originally produced wines in the historical palace, only 30 min drive. The German capital, Berlin is a comfortable 180 km drive.

Tough beauty

I had to consume the experience from this nice place. First of all I have to say I was surprise with great hospitality and help from staff. I had this course on my bucket list for years, so finally. Arriving I was a bit surprised that there were no big gate, I would expect that, the place deserve it. Clubhouse is quite big with nice view on few holes and lake. All the amenities and places needed for warm up are next to it. So to the course, there is only one small con, its tooo long :D. I will not describe holes you must seen it for yourself, but I say that the fairways are nicely undulated but with lot of space to place the ball, roughs were still short at my visit. Greens were rolling nicely and were in good condition after the winter. Whole game you will be in quiet and nice nature, there is still not many houses around course, which I believe one day it will be like that. Signature hole for me, there were few but I would chose probably par 3 hole number 15. I also liked better back nine than front nine. The best part about our visit was, we were all alone on course.
We spend nice 2 days in the garden suites and we also love it, we miss only small terrace which could be there to enjoy view.
I highly recommend its very affordable and we will definitely come back.

One of best in Europe

Modry Las is a true gem. I've played golf at world-class resorts on four continents, but nothing comes close to the raw beauty and the incredible closeness to nature that is felt here. The course is very well maintained and very challenging. I've yet to stay in the cottages that were recently opened (partly due to them booking up so quickly), but I've heard good things. Already looking forward to coming back next season.

An eye opener

I played and stayed last July. The lodges were just opened and were very comfortable. The course rates as high as any new build I have seen in Ireland or the United States. The practice facilities were 1st class, I especially liked the pitching area. While the club house was not yet up and going, the temporary arrangements were very adequate, while the outdoor eating and drinking facilities were right up my alley.
It was a pleasure being facilitated to the local town restaurant overlooking the lake.
Overall the hospitality and welcome were very genuine and warm.
