Characteristics
Was designed by David Thomas in his first nine holes, par 37, 3275 meters, requires good shots to put the ball in the Fairways and the greens are well protected by bunkers and the surrounding lakes.
The back nine holes designed by Nicklaus Design is par 35, 2878 m, , have wide fairways and great holes, deserving a special mention to his own “amen Corner , a spectacular lake surrounding the holes 13, 14 and 15, making the water in the biggest obstacle to overcome.
The rest of the holes are protected by strategic bunkers.

Proper golf attire is required. Denim jeans, collarless t-shirts and tracksuits are not acceptable. Bermuda shorts are permitted. Softspikes required.

Mar menor is the worst golf course in the area fairways look as though they have not been cut fit months Anumbrr of bunkers have been out of action for months greens full of pitch marks All the local Gnk courses are in much better condition and worth a visit Avoid Mar Menor at all costs it is a good course ruined by bad management

We played 3days, at Mar Menor, Hacienda and La Torre, all part of the Nicholas group of 6 courses at the start of October.
The weather was perfect but the courses had too many bunkers, and in between the bunkers there was more sand.
The bar at Mar Menor wasn’t cheap and the Italian restaurant had to refund 2 out of 10 meals due to undercooked food.
