The pooler boys

Arrived at Machynys for the first time on Wednesday the 16th of September, reported to the reception where the pleasant receptionist gave us the information needed to obtain a lovely bacon bap and coffee. After refreshments we reported to the pro shop to book in where the efficient staff helped us without delay and with professionalism. The course was a true and fair test, plenty of water around which was a challenge and wicked rough. Overall the experience was brilliant and will definitely come back. More importantly the coronavirus precautions were excellent, being two 70 yr olds we felt very safe, Thank you MACHYNYS and goodbye till we meet again. From STEVE AND GEOFF.

Great course, only Jack Nichlaus course.

From the moment you tee off on the 1st to your final putt on the 18th you will enjoy playing this fantastic championship golf course. Most holes have water hazards (lakes and ponds) 15 to be exact, so you will need to ensure you are driving straight to avoid the water. A great days golfing will be had by all playing this course, especially on a sunny day. The course provides great views across the estuary to the Gower Peninsula.

Modern

Very modern design, not a true links course! I am Nicklaus Design sure would build the place today, it would have been much more bitter, designed! Still a very good place
