Used to be good

This resort was always known as one of the best. To me it is now kind of old glory. I have to admit that in this hot weather they still keep it nicely green. Both courses are nice. With great holes especially 9th and 18th. They give opportunity to score. Greens were fast enough without bad spots. Fairways were not as good, also tee boxes were bit poor. There are huge amenities like welness and nice hotel. And thats were the good thing ends. Restaurants offer is horrible as well as service. Only the breakfast were good. When it come to hotel, I have to say that there is lot of mistakes in organization and they are not much customer oriented. The best is to comunicate only in german even they advertise communication in Czech and English. At the end we find the solution with manager, but we felt like not welcome. This resort is good for austrian retirement people.

First-class

Actually, I can't add anything to Golfralley's assessment, I share the assessment 100%. Worth mentioning are the beautiful fairway suites, which you should treat yourself to and the reasonable prices, for which something is really on offer. A detail that made you smile: the room safe was only loose in the box, you could have simply carried it away if there were no screws.

Good overall package

We were there for three days and played the two house courses and the course in the Czech Republic, unlimited golf, half board.
The service and friendliness of all employees speaks for itself. In the restaurant and at breakfast there is always time for two/three sentences with the guests. That goes down very well! The food was in accordance with the hotel category. If you want, you will always find something to complain about. Mega yummy the ice cream! Definitely try. :-) The room was spotless.
But now to the important thing: the golf courses. Overall, the pitches are very spacious. A cart is recommended for those who don't want to or can't walk far.
Course Waldviertel, which we walked to play beautifully. Varied, beautiful woodland, memorable discounts.
What to write about Course Haugschlag? Multiple awards. There's a reason for that.
The highlight for us was the e-cart ride to the Monachus golf course. The ride alone was fun. The place is wonderful, although we liked the first nine holes better.
We also noticed the friendliness and mutual consideration of the other players. Overall, there is a very pleasant atmosphere in Haugschlag.
Conclusion: If you don't need a 5-star restaurant, are looking forward to three beautiful courses and enjoy varied rounds of golf, you're in good hands here.

Pure variety

Everything fits. Very neat place. Enough water to fill up. Enough toilet. Long lanes but also very wide. Very varied with a dogleg water hazard and 60% in the forest. We recommend.
Stayed 1 week for 4 in the golf hotel.
The service was attentive and I would give the food 4 stars.

Great places

Was this year in September in the GC Haugschlag and the two places just great!
Both places are super varied to play!
Driving range huge and lots of practice possibilities!
Marks, fairways, bunkers and greens in very good condition.
Due to their location in the old forest, the squares are sometimes very mystical, especially because we played on a day when it was foggy.
One expects the mood in the fog, behind every tree a hobbit :-)
We are always excited when we can play the seats.
The only drawback is the gastronomy in the clubhouse, which looks a bit confused. But there is the quaint Gasthaus Perzy, which equalized by down-to-earth really perfect kitchen, this shortcoming.
Conclusion: just nice and always worth a visit!

About 30 degrees and no water

Course Waldviertel and course Haugschlag are beautiful places with challenges and beautiful landscapes.

It was about 32 degrees Celsius and the water dispenser at tea 15 course Waldviertel (about 200 meters from the hotel) was empty. I was on my way to tea 10 (about an hour's worth of tea 15) and I called the secretary and asked you to fill up the water dispenser. We were not the only ones on the course. As I said, over 30 degrees, they did not manage to replace the water cooler on Friday afternoon!

That's not bad service, that's a joke!

Golfweek

In July 2019 we played the places Waldviertel, Haugschlag and Monarchus (CZ).
The course Waldviertel was really nice and had to offer some interesting holes through the location of the fairways through the forest.
The course Haugschlag, however, was a bit unimaginative and without big surprises. Only hole 18 is a bit more spectacular.

Disappointing was the gastronomy: service without any plan, half of the drinks had min. 2 x ordered. The food was forgotten. The beer always comes without a crown. Every 2 minutes is asked by 5 different waiters: "Everything is alright anyway" although you have a full glass. As soon as this was empty but no waiter more!

The decor of the terrace poorly damaged. NONE of the umbrellas was in one piece. Everything torn and tattered.

Also the golf reception was extremely rude and completely overwhelmed. E-carts were reserved by phone, but were then not there, because otherwise assigned. The players of the tournament were not informed that started on tee 1 and 10, which caused quite a chaos. As an excuse of the place manager was given the hint that this is indeed on the Scorkarte!

Unfortunately, quite a disappointment, as our expectations from other golfers were apparently too high!!

Monarchus I will rate extra, was much better!

Great places, hotel rather mediocre

The place Waldviertel is very well located and well maintained. It's fun to play. The place Haugschlag falls to the Waldviertel something off, despite good care. The Verbundplatz in the Czech Republic is beautifully situated with good care.
The hotel is a pure golf hotel. The service is pretty good. The ambiance is not very appealing, charm of the 80s. The Revovierungsstau is not to be overlooked. Ambien But Great

Top places in sensational surroundings

Both the Waldviertel (Old) and Hauschlag (New) courses are both sensational places. Wonderfully embedded in the landscape, excellent care condition, top 4 * hotel, Proshop, Range, etc. everything available. Dogs are always welcome! Keep it up!!!

Course Haugschlag

Golf course: Through very slightly hilly terrain draw very wide fairways. The course is fair for all play classes.

Location: Very good with pfeilfast greens.

Conclusion: Not as exciting as the Waldviertel course, but nevertheless because of the beautiful landscape and the top-care state very playable.

Super short break

In general the excellent condition is to be emphasized. The greens were quick and fast. The fairways for the dry summer are in great shape.

The Haugschlag course is ok. He unfortunately has some blind passages, but also great holes.

Waldviertel liked me better. More in the forest, the Greens hard defended, a top place.

The exercises are great.

The restaurant is good, the terrace a hit.

The hotel rooms were passable. The hotel could get a new look from the outside. The Riesengolfball is not mine either.

The service was fantastic everywhere.

Price performance fits.

Unfortunately Haugschlag is not quite as fast to reach, for a short break but fully recommended.

Keeps the high level

Our third visit in Haugschlag has reinforced our positive impression: Woman Höchtl as reception clerk is a golden handle, the staff increases in the hotel and restaurant area with consistently very friendly and nice Czechs (good German) are welcome and the golf courses are still outstanding and in combined with the fairway suites probably only in Austria. But for us, the cake, the place in Czech Republic, Monachus, the more beautiful than the Haug hit places is almost scenic (albeit not as well maintained) and has a great 19th hole (with incomparable beer!). We can recommend only everyone, even the price-performance ratio

Worth a detour

If both courts played in mid-September. For the Season and the very dry summer the courses are in excellent condition have been. Waldviertel is the more challenging course, but Haugschlag has with the 18 (island green) a great Signaturehole. Pronounced nice and friendly staff, food at the resort hotel good, definitely visit the attached quaint inn Perzy. Very friendly and competent chef, food by hand. Overall, all voices, the long journey is worth, who also loves peace and quiet is right here.

Golf at its finest

Both courses are beautiful, but of course Waldviertel has atmosphere. Holds the course, what brochures promise - The boulders in the fairway course, the landscape, the growing of the square. The pity is that one is persuaded that we must take a car - you can go to court without further ado, with an e-Trolley even effortlessly and it is thus the experience more intense. Very good course maintenance and good organization!

Course Waldviertel

Golf: The Old Course This 36-hole course fits perfectly on the gently undulating landscape. The tracks run between woods and rock formations there.

Place State: Despite the heat wave this summer, fairways and greens presented in very good condition.

Conclusion: A very nice course in the silence and solitude of the Waldviertel. Also a longer journey worthwhile.

Non smoking in the restaurant seemingly undesirable

3 days golf games including stay at the 4-star hotel.:
Arrival: Reception very friendly, respect the generously sized room with a balcony in the morning already possible!
Golf Desk and Proshop: very friendly golf courses: despite bad weather very well maintained and well playable, sometimes because of the rain slippery fairways and small "water bubbles"
Restaurant + Lobby + Bar: Not for Non smoking!!! Stay on the terrace due to cold and rainy weather not possible.
In the main part of the restaurant, in the lobby and at the bar, unfortunately, Designated Smoking Area. Non smoking When you have to struggle through by cigarette smoke and thick cigar haze to get to eat in the Non smoking area. The double doors to guests this area is completely open, so that you can "enjoy" the "discreet" nicotine smell in the Non smoking area. The operation you have to - after a long wait in vain "backroom" - ask that you still would like to order something. Apart from the snippy answer the waitress to notice the "good air" and the open door, appetizers and main courses were very good. The dessert is not assessable since been apart after repeated futile waiting for the operation of another order.
No 5 star due to the extremely poor service in the restaurant!

Disappointing

Full of expectation competed all the way, then received in German bumpy, expensive green fee bez. No marshal (Leading Course one is yes) far and wide, Waldviertel course can argue without handicap on the course, with whom you have had, despite a lot of rain in August 2014 Part verdrocknete fairways and players. a Course without sophistication.
We expected much more.

It was wonderful

To put it straight to the point - I missed a gym. Otherwise a perfect holiday. A Fairway Suite with private "Wagerl" for the entire duration of your stay, how cool is that? Take the cart to the Czech Republic, as worn is that?
Great pro shop, super groomed golf courses, it was a dream vacation.

Absolutely great

The two 18-hole courses are best maintained condition and make nature an experience. Interesting holes, which is acknowledged by all the length of her, but remain always fair. Course forest area is next to Fontana to my favorite place in Austria! The club offers its friendliness and simplicity.
