Used to be good

This resort was always known as one of the best. To me it is now kind of old glory. I have to admit that in this hot weather they still keep it nicely green. Both courses are nice. With great holes especially 9th and 18th. They give opportunity to score. Greens were fast enough without bad spots. Fairways were not as good, also tee boxes were bit poor. There are huge amenities like welness and nice hotel. And thats were the good thing ends. Restaurants offer is horrible as well as service. Only the breakfast were good. When it come to hotel, I have to say that there is lot of mistakes in organization and they are not much customer oriented. The best is to comunicate only in german even they advertise communication in Czech and English. At the end we find the solution with manager, but we felt like not welcome. This resort is good for austrian retirement people.

We were there for three days and played the two house courses and the course in the Czech Republic, unlimited golf, half board.
The service and friendliness of all employees speaks for itself. In the restaurant and at breakfast there is always time for two/three sentences with the guests. That goes down very well! The food was in accordance with the hotel category. If you want, you will always find something to complain about. Mega yummy the ice cream! Definitely try. :-) The room was spotless.
But now to the important thing: the golf courses. Overall, the pitches are very spacious. A cart is recommended for those who don't want to or can't walk far.
Course Waldviertel, which we walked to play beautifully. Varied, beautiful woodland, memorable discounts.
What to write about Course Haugschlag? Multiple awards. There's a reason for that.
The highlight for us was the e-cart ride to the Monachus golf course. The ride alone was fun. The place is wonderful, although we liked the first nine holes better.
We also noticed the friendliness and mutual consideration of the other players. Overall, there is a very pleasant atmosphere in Haugschlag.

In July 2019 we played the places Waldviertel, Haugschlag and Monarchus (CZ).
The course Waldviertel was really nice and had to offer some interesting holes through the location of the fairways through the forest.
The course Haugschlag, however, was a bit unimaginative and without big surprises. Only hole 18 is a bit more spectacular.
Disappointing was the gastronomy: service without any plan, half of the drinks had min. 2 x ordered. The food was forgotten. The beer always comes without a crown. Every 2 minutes is asked by 5 different waiters: "Everything is alright anyway" although you have a full glass. As soon as this was empty but no waiter more!
The decor of the terrace poorly damaged. NONE of the umbrellas was in one piece. Everything torn and tattered.
Also the golf reception was extremely rude and completely overwhelmed. E-carts were reserved by phone, but were then not there, because otherwise assigned. The players of the tournament were not informed that started on tee 1 and 10, which caused quite a chaos. As an excuse of the place manager was given the hint that this is indeed on the Scorkarte!
