We played the three courses of the La Cala resort in January 2024-
First, the seats. The three courses all have different but very sophisticated and attractive designs. There are some blind holes, especially with Asia. But the course design is definitely exciting. Most of the pitches are overgrown with trees and palm trees. Aisa is a bit shorter, hillier and narrower fairways, America with wide fairways and sometimes a lot of space for the drive, Europe something to think about while playing.
Tees and greens different on every course. The practice green doesn't always help. The condition of the greens and the tees are not great everywhere. But overall a golf resort with 3 courses, as you would wish.
The practice facilities: The driving range can apparently be reached with a shuttle service. It starts at 9:00 or later. So unfortunately lost. Chipping green: There is somewhere, but no parking space for the necessary buggy. Putting Green: Right next to the buggy exit. Pleasantly large, but unfortunately different in terms of speed than the real greens.

Right on the first green we were surprised at the poor quality of the green.
It had the impression that the greens were recreated in late last year. Normal green fee of 115 € is not in order with this bad condition of the golf course.

For the layout of the places you should actually give 5 stars. This is how I imagine the golf paradise to be, exciting, varied and with a very beautiful landscape. But two things spoil the joy:
The seats are like gigantic pinball tables. The ball doesn't stick to the short-cut grass. If you're lucky, the marble just hops back 50 meters towards you. If you're unlucky, and this is more common, after landing in the middle of the fairway or a few yards from the green, it will follow gravity until it disappears into some brush or dip, never to be seen again. So it's only small consolation that this gradient sometimes helps: On the final hole of the America course, 491 meters from yellow, my tee shot (!) hopped next to the green. Carry was maybe 220 meters downhill, the pinball table did the rest.
The second downer is the occasional chaos at cart issuance and management's condescending response to it. During our round on the America course, we faced the prospect of waiting about 40 minutes for a cart, thereby missing our tee time by at least half an hour and not being able to finish in daylight. Instead, after watching the standstill for about 15 minutes, we agreed with the helpful caddy master at short notice that we would do without the booked and paid cart and instead fight our way over the very long and mountainous course with e-trolleys. Since we still had to wait at each lane, we just made it to 6 p.m. in daylight.
When we complained two days later before our next round, the answer was that of course they would have made a concession, for example in the form of some free drinks, but not four days later (it was 2 days!). We should have complained right away.
