9 hole at the end of Dubai in the nowhere resort

Played on 3/27/2023. The 9-hole course (par 35) is located in the south of Dubai behind the huge industrial and port area of DP World and is integrated into a hotel resort. The resort and golf course have been in this remote location for a very long time. In the meantime another hotel complex has been built. In addition to golf, you can also play tennis and go horseback riding. There is also a beach club next to a small marina, the beach club is much cheaper than the one in Dubai and is definitely recommended. Next door is a go-kart track, you can hear it but that didn't bother us as much. The Jebel Ali palm tree was raised in front of the resort. However, the development has apparently been stopped in the meantime. The golf course has a strong parkland character, as it has grown over the years and one or the other fairway is rather narrow. Water comes into play on some holes, so strategy is required on almost every hole. A few well-placed bunkers and fast greens round off the good 9-hole course. Unfortunately there are no alternative tee variants, apart from the usual colored tees, so an 18-hole round is not that interesting. The condition was impeccable. Unfortunately, the fairways were sprayed with a toxic-smelling fertilizer during our round and in strong winds. That was a rather unpleasant experience while the game was running. Otherwise, the game was lively, but not overcrowded. We booked a start time with a 2:1 discount via the VIJA app and paid €120 (2 people) for 18 holes. The price included a cart (no GPS) but with 4 cans of water and free range balls. In addition, you can tap water on the round and there is also an aid station. The clubhouse with restaurant (not used) is getting a bit old and kept rather simple. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Whatever the reason for this golf course being built here at the Landsend of Dubai, anyone who is nearby or wants to go to the beach club after a short round will not go far wrong here. I would rather not recommend going there.

The next time with headphones

Place ok, staff very friendly and very service-oriented, arrival with MAD Max Feeling, Endzeitstimmung in the desert, on the course either construction noise or motorcycle noise, really annoying.
Workers were always in the way around
Summarum no recommendation

Too much noise

The piazza and its maintenance condition has not changed from the previous year (4 stars) but the noise from the nearby race track was partly unbearable!
