B Course is way nicer than A Course

We played both courses in Nov/2017. Course B was in very good shape and much nicer to play than the A Course, although most people prefer the A course.
The Iberostar Courses are the best in the Novo Sancti Petri area. Compared to Hills, Campano, Estancia, there is no question that Iberostar courses are the one to play.
We had as hotel guest fair Greenfee conditions. Tokens and Trolleys as well for reasonable price considering that we are speaking of resort golf courses.
The pine trees at the courses are beautiful, although our Golfballs quite oft were stopped by them. In sommer, these trees are keeping those fairways and Greens cool. Greens were in good conditions. The A course had more pitch marks than it should.
I will definitely play course B on my next visit. Fairplay Gold, Montenmedios and Sherry Golf are to my taste at the same level than the A Course.

Nice, but unfortunately totally overcrowded

Played the “Mar Y Pinos” course on the 36-hole course on October 9th.
Unfortunately, the certainly beautiful, if not really special, place was completely overcrowded.
We were on the circuit for over 5 hours and had to constantly wait. That's just how it is when a flight of golfers with less sporting ambition is sent out every 10 minutes and no rangers are in sight.
Gladly again when there is less going on. Hardly recommended in autumn and spring. Luckily there are 3 great alternatives in the area

Ok, more non-staff less guest-oriented

Place at the end of May in fair condition. No starter, no Marshall to be seen, but also early tee time, maybe that was the reason.

Less spectacular tracks, but fair place, greens reasonably fast and undulated. Front nine with some water hazards.
Not very spectacular in terms of landscape, many trees on the back nine, but no water.

Ignored in the clubhouse for 20 mins by staff, would have liked to have had a drink and eaten but no one seemed interested. No service at the Caddymaster either, there is still a lot of room for improvement.

You can do it, but you don't necessarily have to have played it.

Not the bang

Both courses played in March, I personally find it overpriced if you book from home, bank transfer in advance, unfortunately not common. On 03/23 Start time in the flight of four 11:10 a.m., another flight of four at 11:10 a.m., another flight of four at 11:15 a.m., the marshal is totally overwhelmed when trying to correct everything, so you make money.

Course A-Good place with a lot of wind

Professional facility with large clubhouse, Caddy Master, large practice facility.
Designed by Seve Ballesteros.
The first holes with flat wide fairways, some water hazards. #6 with green almost on the beach.
The back nine is flat, with many disturbing trees (pines) and no water hazards.
Not long from yellow, 5,482 m
Very strong wind on all match days.
Very good well-kept place.
Regular green fee: € 103.00

Holiday Golf

The places are neatly maintained, the greens are quite slow, haircuts are okay, bunkers are partially littered with stones and tree roots growing through them. Wide fairways without any particular difficulties stretch over long stretches between endless holiday residences, partly through pine trees, from some holes you can also see the sea. All in all holiday golf that will not be remembered.

Good but not spectacular!

I played the course (A) in February and spent a nice day with nice people. The first 9 holes offer interesting golf with beautiful views.
For the second 9, the "locals" said goodbye to continue playing on 9 holes of the B course - not entirely wrong: otherwise it goes into the quite narrow, shady pine forest that takes some getting used to (which you have almost exclusively for yourself). Greens and fairways as well as the overall condition of the facility are good, so you can't go wrong with the course.

A little disappointing

Played again after a few years. Somewhat boring B course. The 36 hole course is fully geared towards tourism. Players are passed through like a herd. Those who are in the region for the first time should play other courses such as Montenmedio, Sherry Golf, Costa Ballena, Arcos Gardens, Montecastillo, Benalup or Sancti Petri Hills.

Banal feel-good golf course

The place is flat and without inspiration. a few pine trees stand in the way now and then, the lanes are wide, the greens are flat like a flounder and in between there is a water hazard. in short: when you go home, you've forgotten your place.
The price is relatively high and the performance (golf experience) rather modest.

Fairways good, greens good, even if almost without undulation, bunker sand good.

hordes of slow-playing golf tourists are being smuggled through. you have a ranger who drove total sleepers a little, but it was of little use.

there is no parking space for non-members. the clubhouse is not written on, you really have to look for it first and then park somewhere on the street. We obviously disturbed the receptionist in the pro shop during our afternoon nap, and the reception was correspondingly atmospheric.

If you love that, you should definitely play here, then there will be more space for ambitious golfers on the good and challenging courses.

the package as a whole was really not enough for 3 stars.

A very nice golf course

We played course B twice, place A was still closed the first time, the second time it was open but also just aerated and sanded... I don't have to have it.

The training facilities are great, thick carpets in the boxes and super nice pitching and chipping greens.

I was very satisfied, the parkland course is in the middle of the spacious Sancti Petri holiday complex and winds along the rows of houses, some with a sea view.

Place B requires a clean game, not necessarily on the tee, but there are often trees in front of the greens, if you are on the wrong side of the fairway, you have bad cards. The greens are often elevated and protected by bunkers. I played from yellow, white is also stuck and then nat. the drives are also more interesting. (hit 200 m carry and yellow drives were not an issue)

The course was in excellent condition, in Andalusia it rained a lot in the spring so everything was green. Because of Corona it was very instructive, I guess that the resort is only used to 10% capacity.

Conclusion: gladly again and again

Beautiful tracks, however, with blemishes

The course itself is really great, the very long tracks are fun and varied.
The use of a caddy I would recommend to anyone, since the paths are very long.
Unfortunately the staff is only moderately friendly and offers only the most necessary.
The infrastructure next to the square could be renovated.
As well as the holes on the greens should be moved more often.
We were there in August 19.

Ideal for the season entry

The 36 holes and the training facilities make the course a great destination for the start of the season. Many pros also see that, so the complex and the adjoining hotel were full of groups.

The seats were quite booked, which then carries the risk that you have to wait a little. If you want to get up early you should have start times between 8 and 9. Then you do not get into the rush hour and can still train in the afternoon and / or enjoy the beautiful beach. At that time, no round took more than 4.5 hours.

The design is ok in my opinion, but not very spectacular. Centro is more varied. There I can better remember individual holes. The second nine on Mar & Pinos are a bit sober here. (that's why I could not quite get through to 5 stars). Cart is rather unnecessary for athletic players.

Course condition and service were very good. I would like to come again.

Beautiful place at the ocean with wind feeling

We played the A and B classes in February 2019. Since we stayed in the nearby hotel there was a lot of discount with a green fee package. A tee time had to be booked at least one day in advance and there were only 3 or 4 flights. A golf card is also recommended for athletic players, as the paths are long. Both fairways and the greens were in very good condition. The bunkers were mainly solid sand.
Partial strong wind.

Impossible Greekeeping on A Hole 5 and 6 for years

We have been playing this club for many years. Only we find it impossible, that in many places the grass shaved so that you could as well throw concrete there. An example of this is the fairway around the pond at hole 5 on course A (Mar). The fairway has been leveled by Seve Ballestero like a funnel around the big pond. The grass in the large slopes but is completely shaved, the ball often rolls into the water even if he comes up far away from the pond at the top of the slope. Ball dropping even up to 10 meters away from the pond often also ends in loss of ball. Does it have to be that way??? Similar conditions at the next hole (6) where the high-lying green drops off extremely to the deep bunker on the right, and the steep slope between the green and the bunker, smoothly shorn like a baby's bottom, lurks on the ball.
Such unfair harassment is not a sporting challenge, it's just a bother. It would be nice if the club management would test it for themselves.

Dear guest, The 2 holes you mention are undoubtedly complicated to play by the design of Severiano Ballesteros. Both slopes roll the ball to water hazards, hole 5, or in the case of hole 6 to the bunker. I assure you that the grass on these slopes of the fairway is not cut differently than on all the other fariways of our courses, it has the same height. In winter, however, the balls roll a little more through the cold, so all the sloping areas are especially complicated to play.
We would like to find a solution for that, but unfortunately we can not change the design of Severiano Ballesteros and we can not grow the grass higher there (rough) where a fairway was designed more than 25 years ago.
However, our management will be happy to help you on your next trip to Novo Sancti Petri to analyze the different ways of playing these two holes.
Yours sincerely,

The day before yesterday I played the B course and today the A. The today many green bunkers were renovated with a large device, I first learned from my flight partners on the round. They therefore have only € 60, -p. P. Greenfee paid with e-cart, I, however, € 93, -. On request at the golf reception I was offered a voucher, which is worthless for me, since I leave tomorrow. Dear golf friends!

We are in the process of renewing the bunkers in our two squares. Last year we renewed all of the B-square, and this year we have the bunkers of the A-square. We continue to make every effort to offer the highest quality to our dear guests.

So far, we had no complaints because of the work on the A-square. We also have no special prices due to the renewal of the bunker.

The offer, which describes Mr. Uli Hack, is only an offer for 2 Greenfee + E-Cart, which we offer for years several times a year. You can use the offer in both places. We could not submit the offer to Mr. Uli-Hack, as it is only valid for 2 players who want to share the e-cart.

But since we wanted to meet our guest, we offered him a voucher with a validity of one year. We would be very happy if he comes back again and can play on our two well-maintained courses with freshly renovated bunker.

Best regards,

Badly maintained place

On 1.10.17 we played first the B place. The pushes pathetic, the fairways full of pine needles, the bunker also not maintained and filled with a kind Kiessand.
Up to 3 tracks boring to play.
On 3.10.17 we played the A-Platz, the first 9 hole was the place in order and beautiful along the Atlantic to play, the 2nd ten 9 hole the same picture as on the B-Platz. Even the clubhouse could bear a paint.
Overall not recommendable, 1 star for the nice weather and the friendly staff

Green fee a little excessive

I have the first time ever pitched in Anda Luisen and in Novo Sancti Petri. I have now, 2x played the "B" and 2x Campano 2X the "A". On all 3 systems that bunkers are only suboptimal filled with sand. Scenic I like the Campano best, although it is not really easy to play. Each of the 3 systems I found excellent greens and well maintained fairways. My seasons were always between 4-4.5Std, was probably because I had early tee times. I felt comfortable and I will certainly find back here in 2018th You have to adjust and relax the Spanish mentality simply times. Home not everything is perfect. In this sense: Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy

Still ok

Las just my review of 2011. Meanwhile, the CRISIS has struck here neat, places like Benalup are still out of the game, Arcos struggling with money and lack of water, Campano and Villanueva include banks that allow the courts of operators hold Viable what to approve prices but limited service leads, so far the Recorridos A and B have now with the Iberostar chain new owner, which has passed gratifying without a trace at the place, the type of grass still requires a lot of water, so that the space always comes something soft and hyperhydrated, particularly in compared to Estancia and Villa Nova who have to strohig acting bermudagrass. Chacun a son veu,. Still best golf school in the world thanks to Chema and his troupe. This is place is always crowded, less than 4.5 hours is a round not to create. For me space B is thus the place of the big room, deductions only for the concrete Harten Bunker with unsuitable sand. Prices are in accordance with borderline high to expensive, but the business model seems to hold..

A dream come true

In a sunny 04/13/2016 I could play with my colleagues, a very nice round on a very interesting designed golf course here.
The only drawback of the sand in the bunkers had much to be desired. (Construction sand and therefore hard as a board).
The Greenkeber must mention commendable that make this place with your care status to something special. Even balls you have on board for players where the balls should go.
For me, my compliances have been met on the B Course! And I am already on it some day again my driver on tee 1 draw.
Predicate highly recommended. Hcp. 19.0. FRG

Well-kept place, but unfortunately also very crowded

We played last week at two places three times. Although space A partially runs along the sea, space B we liked better because it is designed sophisticated and also more interesting. Overall, both places are a bit short, according to statements made by Flight-partners the courses were well past any longer. The cultivations on the game field margins did not bother us.
Annoying were the long seasons, always well above 5 hours. That should go faster with 4-Flights. A marshal - the accelerated flow of the game - we have not seen.
Nevertheless, both places are thoroughly recommended.

The Novi Sancti Petri Resort currently registered a positive exception in the region. The ongoing drought in the region has to date (end of February 2015) all places in the neighborhood (La Estancia, NSP Hills and Montemedio) strongly affected. Golf Resort located in the tourist resort, designed by Seve Ballesteros

The plant is located in the tourist and is always highly visible presence. It basically consists of two courses with 18 holes each. The third course (Campano / outside) is now no longer according to club secretary, however, and tee times can be arranged to cooperate. We have played all three courses in July 2013. The design changes to the courses A (Mar y Pino) and B (Centro) between Parkland, Golf Resort and Golf Coast open more often and see. A few extinguishers, both places also borders the Atlantic. You have both courses several times, mostly through underpasses, über-/unterqueren the streets of the town. The condition of the courts is adequate, although here the bunkers could do with some slightly finer sand, but is probably not so easy because of the many existing wind. The space A is, for whatever reason, frequented more. It recommended start times to be agreed. Afternoon when it's hot, it's a little empty. We found the B-site is actually interesting, even if the first two or three tracks a bit monotonous come along. But afterwards we make it more interesting and we could enjoy our game in peace. In part, it was in some corners almost too quiet and the signs, you should keep an eye on his golf bag are certainly not entirely unjustified. The course design was created according to club information by Seve Ballesteros and is sure to be something special, but does not justify the price green fees of nearly 100 € (most expensive plant in the region to Conil). As a guest of the owner or Golffeecard you pay for 75 €. For the Handtrolly (stroller not required because all flat) to get another 5 € and there is not even a water. That can be drawn on the B course after 9 holes for € 2.50 from a vending machine. Unfortunately, probably the cooling was broken, so the water was boiling hot from the machine. Otherwise, there are many places on all three pine trees that the ball if it is not played straight, and sometimes even the middle of the fairway are like trees, stop abruppt ball flight. Contrary to some data, and thanks to the economic crises can be played on all seats with HC 54th However, whether beginners have fun here, each is left to itself, at least you should take the front tees, this helps a little. The clubhouse is not measured so lush for the size of the plant. The Secretary / Pro Shop you will receive businesslike, but we speak German here. Was somewhat remarkable that the local members / players are a bit reluctant with the friendliness towards green fee paying tourists (Also applies to Campano). When you greet, greeting is rarely reciprocated and can play through, is not already. How to play as a two flight fro like to talk a little longer behind four Spanish men.
The now-separated space Campano is prior to the location right off the highway (no noise) and the green fee is much cheaper (90 € for two persons including Handtrollys). Again, no buggy is required for the flat place. The condition was fine and there are even some with real sand bunkers, which seems to be a problem at most facilities in the region. The design is certainly not earth shattering but varied by a few doglegs and water hazards. You play the first 9 holes of a resort complex which is secured on both sides of the fairways each of fences. This looks a little getting used to, but also begins to talk to one or the other stray ball and keeps it in the game. The second 9 holes are then open, but close together. In lanes 1 and 14 have to be careful that no one can get ball from the driving range. Most local players lined up like 10 times already A tee into the game, which then inevitably leads to delays. Here the club should pay attention a little more time. The 10th Tee is but slightly removed from the small clubhouse. Who wants to play in peace should also start the afternoon rather than the morning here. The lady in the office (speaks some German) was very nice and helpful. So who wants to play golf in the tourist town with a little view of the Atlantic is the right place to A + B, but who would like to have it a little rustic for cheaper should play Campano.

A, B and Campagno Golf

A: Mar y Pinos, so the first 9 holes with water-heavy climax of the 6-hole, a par 4 on the beach, otherwise total often an apartment and hotel area, but mostly to have enough space to come up no narrowness. Beautifully well as the holes 1,2 and 5, all of which are around water. The back 9 are under pine trees, lots of space. long fairways without much difficulty. The greens are very well maintained, fast despite soft ground (rain) B: Centro goes continuously through built areas, also also enough space and rarely tightness, a little easier to play than A.
C: Campagno golf, something in the back country (shuttle from the clubhouse A + B) is the first impression rather simple, but turns out to be absolutely tricky and tactically challenging course, especially in strong wind conditions. Partial (out) by Villenurbanisation very close to the fairway built settlement, makes things very closely. Greens are somewhat slower than the A and B greens. Shortcoming are sure the numerous stones in bunkers, but this can also be partially heavy rains have been more than usual. The second nine are, though less cramped by olive plantations, but just as difficult to play. As I said many doglegs make necessary strategic game. For us, the positive surprise and subjectively more difficult to play than A and B.
Overall, service was friendly and professional, no problems.

Locations A and B are right on the clubhouse and in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Games here for 4 years regularly several times a year. Care status is measured at tourist spots pretty neat place A with some very nice holes but also some which run as usual wedged between terraced houses. Place B similar, with the adjacent buildings here is a little further back which gives more the impression of a golf course instead of front garden. Space C is a far (12 minutes!) Distant place of older, often wet, squeezed into a residential area, you can leave out good. Good training! Very good club own teaching pros, tennis lessons here are highly recommended. Club House: All Gulf regards friendly service and no defects. Restoration regarding attention and food offer at best average.

In summary: You live in the hotel and train, also like to play golf some nearby places (including Montemedio, Benalup, Arcos Gardens, Monte Castillo, Sherry Golf) approach with rental cars. Worth it!
