Characteristics

The golf course, only 10 km away from Regensburg, is located on a 100 hectares large site which has a long historical tradition. The 2nd part of the course is situated in the Danube valley and is lined from both sides with the Jura inclinations. The fairways nestle along the Danube valley. Hole 1 to 9 are different, because here golfers have to cope with some altitude differences which offer beautiful views.

Do not forget crampons!

3.0 out of 5 starsReviewed April 16, 2013via iPad app

I must first the nice reception and the clubhouse praise pleases me very well, and the range is not bad although it suggests the opposite slope. One tends to place whether its short length, especially on the front underestimate 9th with a defensive game but are good to deal with the holes. But if one carries his bag should I bring to the first nine crampons and maybe a snack for the hike. As a hitter you have to expect often to beat again into the unknown, which I find very disturbing.
The back 9 very cozy up on the par 3, which are very demanding of white with just under 200m.
Conclusion: if you like to hike and who does not mind a little partial to see any country zones, have fun, all the other I do not advise more from.

Mountain goats and Donauschifferausweis

4.0 out of 5 starsReviewed October 4, 2012

Beautifully located place directly on the Danube. The first 9 tracks are ideal for hikers and mountain goats. The lanes 1-4 are going pretty steep uphill and when you carry or push really hard., But from then on it goes. There must be a reason why the club members start for the most part of the 10th The second nine on the Danube are long but then as in the lowlands. The condition was only moderately in early October, but the place seemed to have been sanded, so maybe it has traded at an exceptional situation. The reception at Sekretarit was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, recommended with reservations and very scenic.

Wonderful place in a beautiful landscape!

5.0 out of 5 starsReviewed August 30, 2011

The site is located in a quiet area, just outside of Regensburg, directly on the Danube. The first nine tracks run in hilly terrain on a small tributary. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the Danube are the reward for the "hike". The tracks here are good and fairly applied so that the slopes never seem exhausting. The second 9 holes are very different - are all paths on flat terrain and partly on the Danube riverbank. One or the other ball is therefore sometimes end up in the river. All were very well maintained fairways and greens in good condition. On humid days, probably a bug spray is a recommended protection against pests. The friendly staff at the clubhouse completes the magnificent atmosphere. CONCLUSION: This place is worth a visit and a real game recommendation! (Handicap 11)
