Characteristics

The golf course lies in idyllic surroundings between vineyards in Škalce, next to the town Slovenske Konjice. It is entirely surrounded by vineyards. Playing fields are variegated with a brook, which flows in the middle of the golf course, water hazards, wood and shrubbery.

The golf course has 9 holes with a total length of 2500 m and it has a pair 36. The ground is pleasant for the game, but it requires precise hits. Power and length are not important by playing, but first of all the thoughtfulness and a high degree of concentration.

Challenging golf

None of the holes are flat, everything is uneven, which is quite challenging. The holes are quite narrow and do not forgive mistakes. The surroundings is very nice, between vineyards. The clubhouse could be better, but for this small course, it may be okay.

Fantastic layout very challenging

At the end of August, we had the pleasure of playing the 9-hole course. A very friendly welcome, super-affordable green fees, and generally reasonable prices. There's no clubhouse or pro shop; you can only purchase the most basic items—gloves, balls, and drinks—at the reception desk.
The course itself has an incredible layout and seems to devour the balls. Partly steep uphill and downhill, almost always a dogleg… walkable at any time with good fitness. We stayed in an apartment near the golf course, which we highly recommend. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Monday, but there are plenty of good restaurants in town.

Golf in the vineyard

Of course I have also played a few golf courses near vines, but never directly on the vineyard and sometimes through it! The very hilly, sometimes steep 9-hole pearl is still walkable! The course was well maintained despite the very heavy rain of the previous days. The 9-hole layout is quite something due to the topography! In terms of landscape, the course on the vineyard of the same name is a 6-star course, as it is pretty unique in Europe! Buy a case of wine after the round and enjoy it straight away, perfect!
