Characteristics
The 18-hole championship course is a typical heathland course. A slight difference in elevation divides the course into two parts, 12 holes on sandy ground and 6 holes on marshy land. The numerous water features in the lower part require long tee shots to reach the fairways. Compared to the yardage of the holes, the greens are rather small in aggregate.
The Golfanlage Hof Loh in the Lüneburg Heath also has its home here.

Not suitable for demanding rounds
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 5, 2022
Very nice and relaxed atmosphere in the typical Heide Golf Club. Super nice secretariat. Other activities such as kick golf and swing golf are also organized. The condition of the place was much too dry and rock hard. The greens with a number of bald spots and not very faithful. Very suitable for campers. Hole 19 with a simple map, but nothing is missing. We'd love to come back.

At least not recommended at the moment
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 15, 2022
Played end of March 2022, HCP 14 "Golfpark" is apt - a typical parkland course with a few rows of trees and forest on the edge. In the summer it may be nice to look at - at the end of March 2022 it is unfortunately very bleak. The many deciduous trees are mostly still quite bare, and you can still see the pretty severe effects of the storms from the beginning of the year - fallen trees everywhere, lots of "kindling".
The best thing about the whole place is the tranquility - you can do your rounds far away from busy roads, airports or the like. A cart is not absolutely necessary for this, the facility is quite flat.
Unfortunately not so refreshing - the place is long (> 6 km from YELLOW), but also quite boring. You have to stretch a lot to reach the greens "in regulation". Tactically, that doesn't give much - "hit the marble as long as possible and straight ahead" is the motto on most tracks. Only on a few holes (usually at the beginning of the round) a few ponds and ditches where you are faced with the question "attack or submit". It's a pity that the round starts with the hardest track, followed by the third hardest, and that's when it "shot its guns". In general, the design takes some getting used to - on the front nine only ONE par 3 - from YELLOW crisp 199m and also the ladies (RED tees) have at least 177m in front of them.
The greens are also quite unspectacular - neither particularly fast nor challengingly undulating.
Unfortunately, the condition is very bad (partly due to the season). The tees are still the best: Freshly aerated and sanded with still quite sparse grass, but pleasantly flat. Fairways with many bare spots, partly completely devastated by animals (crows?), You hardly even have a clean position on the fairway. Greens really bad - ball bounces through nasty snow mold/dollar spots and huge raven pecked holes on most holes. Putting is a matter of (un)luck. There are always thick stones in the bunkers - some of them are completely neglected, full of stones and declared as a waste area - motto "the pro will be happy to sell you new club heads".
Under the current conditions, a reduction in the green fee would be desirable. However, the so-called maintenance status and the weak environment (no towels in the changing rooms, gastro still closed, everything partly quite dingy, especially the - at least existing - disinfectant dispensers completely dirty) indicate that the club urgently needs every cent.
Conclusion: 2 stars because it is nice and quiet and in summer it could be 3 if the condition is better. Nothing more, the place is too boring for that. I probably won't play it a second time, there are too many better facilities in the vicinity for that. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 4 out of 10 points.)

Nice place with a lot of nature
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 3, 2021
Until a few years ago I was a member in Soltau. I really like this place. We played with friends and really enjoyed the round. In some areas (e.g. at 13 next to the bunker) there are larger holes that urgently need to be filled.
Overall great again. The gastronomy was also very friendly.
A great day.
One problem: there is an extreme stock of nutrias in the ponds. These beaver-like animals look cute, are trusting, but still dangerous. They not only destroy the bank areas. When golfers should be out with a dog -
please be extremely careful. These animals attack dogs and can cause extremely serious injuries.
The club doesn't seem to be taking these risks seriously at the moment.
