Calm place

I had pleasure to visit this course in begining of September. I did my booking through ÖGV site, which was very easy and fast.
I arrived early mornig, it was very easy to find the course using Google maps. I did not have any expectations but was nicely surprised with location. Its outside the city and big roads, nice and quiet place. I enjoy very much very nice parking lot with full of trees providing nice shade. Its just next to driving range and putting gree, next to clubhouse. At my arrival, there were already some members playing. I checked in with very pleasant lady at reception, who let me play, with payment later on.
Opening hole is nice par 5 with shot over the small valley up to hill. Course has nice wide fairways with enough space on greens. I enjoyed nice soft surface on fairways and also roughs were OK. Most of the holes are very similar, but I still enjoy it, remember them all. Each farway is surrounded either with trees or fence, but you are always aware where is your way. Front nine is more forgiving and offer easier shots than back one. I very much liked hole number 8 and 16th. Back nine also starts with par 5 bit longer than on front nine. For me course is a bit longer but I assume, they liked challenges there. Most of the par 3s are over 150m, which is quite tough. Interesting was also 18th hole to shot downhill will give you so much hope for second shot.
Finishing you can have a great lunch at restaurant only with small con, that they do not accept cards. Anywa thanks for hospitality I will for sure try to come back, and I can honestly say this is one of the nicest courses in Austria I ever played.

Well kept place

The course maintenance is the positive of this place. The par 73 course is 6,044 m long in yellow, the fairways are rather monotonous, as already described in my last blog. Tee boxes, fairways flawless, fairways very wide, bunker quite wet this time, greens fast and a bit bumpy.

Secretariat friendly, restaurant as well, food was very good.

Monotonous

Wide tracks, which are always the same or similar, only a few holes, which one feels for beautiful, for example the 8, a quite interesting track with water handicap in front of the green.
Place not spectacular, greens in order.

The Déjà-Vu

The place is extremely hilly, but beautifully laid out. It is a pity that you have actually seen the entire pitch after 9 holes, because holes 10 to 18 are practically a copy of 1-9. This goes so far that the holes are so extremely equal, that it plays no role whether one now the 1 or the 10 the hill high plays. The hole is identical. So it goes on to a few exceptions. Once you can play this place, but you have seen it. So if you only want to play 9-hole, miss the second certainly nothing. The advantage is that in April the facility during the week is very little frequented and thus a comfortable but fast playing is possible at any time.

Wide fairways, rolling hills

We have recorded the square end of June 2016 very good condition. The tracks stretch across rolling hills to the south of Linz, so some mountain sports is also there. The fairways are very wide and outs or water is hard to find. But the paths are relatively long, full risk of the tea is so popular.

A beautiful clubhouse with reasonable food, a warm welcome and the opportunity to fairway2 complete the picture. Price / performance ratio was 100%, gladly again.

Always worth a visit!

Super location with wide fairways for hitters as well as beginners because you can hardly lose balls.
Best price performance!
GF during the week 50 - and weekends € 60, -, as tournament fee!
A Achterl Wine Club gibts restaurant with great views of the square for a euro even for GF ticket to do so.

Hilly but beautiful

If you like hilly like that is right here. Great find on and off. But are easy to manage on foot. Really nice is the back corner from web 12 Finally, a par 5, which can be achieved with skilful play sometimes with the second shot. Beautiful terrace overlooking green tea 10 ud 18 There are no 5 stars because I felt the first 10 holes and not so varied. But overall nice here!
