Characteristics

The Golf Club Oberstdorf houses a course in a beautiful landscape in the midst of the mountains, framed by the Fellhorn and Nebelhorn mountains. Several slopes on the undulating, intriguing 9-hole course featuring fairways framed by woodlands at both sides and greens protected by numerous sand traps add to the difficulty of the game, and the impressive panorama of the Alps often causes golfers to dream and gaze into the distance.

Little gem in the Allgäu

We played this 9-hole course in September 2021 and loved it. Starting with the friendly reception, we felt very comfortable. The only track that didn't necessarily have its own charm was the very first. After that, each hole offered tricky conditions and wonderful views. Precise play is required, especially when teeing off. Sure: the driving range is extraordinary, but it shows how creatively the available space is used. A very good meal in the club catering rounded off a very pleasant day. Highly recommended.

Interesting place

A 9-hole course that sometimes demands a lot, especially holes 2 and 4!
Interesting the terrace-like arrangement (discounts in 3 levels one above the other). Unique location and view. Just next time, I'll think about a cart. Again and again!
The team very friendly and helpful! The gastronomy is good. The journey takes a bit of getting used to and at first a bit confusing.

Do you have to build a golf course everywhere?

Since the parking lot is already quite small - creative parking is the order of the day when there is a lot of traffic - you have to follow a path to the clubhouse and be careful not to be hit by golf balls - because the path leads directly past the DR network - and longer than with balls 130m there is a risk that they will go over the fence...
The space is very narrow, but confusing and not a bit fair...
In the rough you found a lot of balls - a stroke of luck if your own was there - but the greens were so slow and bad that it was called "hit and hope".
We needed over 3 hours for 9 holes in a 4-person flight, most of the strokes were "provisional" and the other half of the time was spent searching...
