Vorarlberg Rankweil

This absolutely flat 18-hole course is located in Rankweil, the home of Rauch Safte. It is a typical open country course. The course has a good layout and beautiful design, which with 4 set tees is already heading towards a championship course! The condition was good to very good! The greens were probably freshly aerated on Monday, 5 days later there was still 50% off the green fee! The attentive and nice manager at the reception gave us this! The greens were easy to play again.
The clubhouse is an absolute eye-catcher! Some cable cars have a beautiful mountain panorama (unfortunately mostly through the high-voltage line), but there is no comparison to Bludenz or even Brands! I just couldn't get the 4 stars because the first 9 holes (although they're nice to play) are very bland, the 1 & 7 are still the best holes. Real variety only occurs from holes 14 to 18! Lots of water, the design is always good, but the area just wasn't there anymore, but still a very good golf course! The GC Rankweil course, which is nice to play and not too difficult and is close to the motorways on the Swiss border, is always worth a visit! 3.4 stars!

Spectacular clubhouse

The clubhouse is the most spectacular on this square, the reception in the same rather impersonal.
Otherwise little varied back and forth. (The second 9 are a bit more entertaining, island green etc.)
You can play in transit, but you don't have to. go there extra. The Bregnzer Festival is more rewarding

What's wrong with the greens?

Compared to previous years, one can at best speak of stagnation in course maintenance, with the greens rather of regression. Of course, the clubhouse and the view of the surrounding mountains are still great, as is the accessibility. But what use is that if the greens - especially on the Front Nine - are an absolute disaster: full of holes, probably from some birds, slow and not at all directional. Then the green fee and the service offered no longer fit together at all. The operator has to find a solution, currently you should avoid the place.
