Unfortunately, the condition of the short course is catastrophic. It is quite cheeky to charge money for this. The fairway has not been mown or even touched for some time. Dandelions, other weeds and holes in which the ball can disappear can be enjoyed alongside the completely swampy rough.
It's not fun.
On two of the five holes, the greens are used by other players to warm up, so you can't tee off unless you shout across the course.

Slightly hilly with great views of the Main Valley area. Half lanes with a wide "resort character", the other half narrow lanes with a tricky layout.
The first 9 lanes run above the clubhouse. A tea box beautifully surrounded by hedges awaits at tee 1. The lanes are wide enough, but the high rough at the edge should be avoided. Only very gentle gradients come into play, thus playing without much effort. Crests, depressions, ponds and watercourses make the courses interesting. The second 9 lanes are on the other side of the street and are a bit hilly - but these are also good to play on.
After the round, the "Eichenfürst" restaurant welcomes you with its cozy terrace
We have been here before 2 years ago. We liked it just as much. Next year we will definitely stop here again with our motorhome. It's so relaxed here :-)

I played the golf course on September 4th, 2021.
It is really a beautiful, well-kept golf course with wonderful views. Unfortunately I miss the highlights. The fairways are mostly straight or with slight doglegs, the fairways are wide, and water only comes into play on hole 4.
I was very pleased with the warmth of the local golfers. A couple started in front of me, asked me if I was a guest and had played here before and they told me that they weren't going to play that fast so I could always see. where to go and how the tracks run.

Some greens were in poor condition and showed bright spots, e.g. hole 7 and hole 10.
For me, two 1l glass bottles were completely incomprehensible, which at lane 16 were not in the garbage can, but next to it on the floor. Golfers don't just play golf, they also enjoy nature, know something about etiquette and don't spoil nature with their rubbish.

We played the course in September 2021. Perfect stopover

Quite spontaneously, we decided to make a golfing stop on the first weekend of September on our way with the motorhome towards West Frisia, here near Marktheidenfeld. The course is close to the motorway, which makes it easier to get there for the mentioned stopover. Even though the club championships were over this weekend, we were able to play on Sunday already at 7:30 clock before the tournament. The place is casual, even if after this brutal summer, the greenkeeper should rather call Brownkeeper. But this is probably the most golf courses in Germany after the summer of 2018? Despite the burnt fairways, the course is still in good shape and if you get used to the hard ground, then you can really play nices. Highlights are next to the interesting tracks (especially the second 9 - right of the road) definitely the many fruit trees on the square, where you get apples, plums, ring solders and pears for free at this time of the year. Drinking water should be taken with you!
Annoying only two things (but I do not give point deductions): 1. the public restaurant "Eichenfürst" opens at 11:00 clock and then you had no time or desire to make us a breakfast (and 2 fried eggs, a Semmerl, a Cafe and an orange juice you should actually get in every restaurant). But it may also be due to the fact that the evening before in the restaurant a wedding was celebrated and you had no desire to run any runaway golfers and 2. I have never seen a golf course where so many old cigarette butts on the fairway and around the tees rumgelegen are. There are probably many smokers in the club. They should take a look at their own nose and think about it, what kind of picture it looks like and what kind of danger this discouraging cigarette will cause in the summer. But maybe all members could lend a hand and help to get the cigarette butt free. Is really a pity and does not throw a good picture on your beautiful plant!
Finally, a big plus for your employees, especially Manuel and Karin in the club office and the friendly Greenies out in the field! In terms of courtesy and friendliness - there are some golf courses in Main-Spessart!
