On 95 hectares, the idyllic 27-hole golf course and the 9-hole public short course are embedded in a large forest area. The spacious tees and fairways as well as numerous sand and water hazards - together with challenging greens - make playing at the Dreihof a real experience. The geographical proximity to the Palatinate Forest and the Southern Wine Route make the golf course even more attractive. By the way: Dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you except for tournaments and competitions.

Nice place, expensive range (balls)

We found the course beautiful, the practice facilities good, and we were aware of the green fee prices. However, we were disappointed that the driving range only offers 14 balls for €2. This is no way to attract young golfers. We've played on many courses in Europe, the USA, and Asia, but nowhere have 14 balls cost so much. We then heard that this is the case at all Golf Absolut courses. It's not so much about a few euros more or less, but we find this unacceptable. The management should really reconsider this!

Whenever we visit relatives, this golf course is the closest – and on the league weekend, all other accessible courses were closed. However, thanks to the 3x9 holes, we were still able to play here. And this wasn't our first time here.
First of all, the green fee of €90 on weekends isn't exactly cheap, but it's reasonable. However, there's a hefty €30 surcharge for a missing club hologram (even for VcG players). While it doesn't affect us, I find it unreasonable.
The range itself is free, but just 14 balls for €2 is more than steep and puts you off practicing. It's a shame, really, because that's less likely to attract the much-desired young players.
We already knew the pitch itself - this time we played it in the B&C combo (A and B met for league games) and it turned out to be in good condition.
The restaurant (Italian) behind the hotel with its lovely terrace invites you to stay for a while, with a view of the range - we preferred to spend the remaining euros there on delicious coffee and cake rather than on expensive range balls.
But we'll definitely be back. The consistently flat course is fun, and with the golden hologram, the GF costs a (relatively cheap) €70 during the week - but unfortunately, range balls are always the same price.
The gentlemen in the office were very friendly and communicative (which isn't a given these days), and the pleasant conversation in the Pro Shop finally opened our wallets for a nice souvenir...
