Very Nice

The course is set on the floor of the Rhine valley, and the surrounding high mountains make for a spectacular setting.

Whilst the layout may not be world class, there is a good mixture of challenging and not so challenging holes. I have just played in May and despite there being plenty of rain recently, the course was in an immaculate condition. The greens were absolutely fantastic.

Its is cheaper than the private clubs in Switzerland and although slightly more expensive than the Migros courses, it is definitely worth it in my opinion.

Flat and calm!

We played the golf course at the end of September 2021 in wonderful sunshine and were impressed by the friendliness. The course is flat in the Rhine valley with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The tees and fairways were well maintained and the greens weren't too fast, but they were on track. There is not necessarily a "signature hole"; the holes are varied and not difficult to play. We enjoyed the day - if your in the area should play the course!

Friendliness

I have been learning to play golf since spring 2021. An important aspect for me was the location, ie the proximity to my place of residence, and so I decided to go to the Gams-Werdenberg Golf Club and the associated Paul Wesselingh Golf Academy in order to obtain the license to play golf. The friendliness of everyone from the club manager, the secretariat and the support of the golf academy, as well as members of the club I know, have encouraged me very much that I made the right choice to become a member here.
I've only had good experiences with the restaurant business.
Another reason for me is that you can play here almost all year round.

Flat, open

We have already played here in spring or autumn when the sun no longer burns mercilessly from above and the sunlight shows its special luminosity. You look for shade here in vain, there are no trees, you are not allowed to plant any.

This golf course is built on former agricultural and cultivated land, is completely flat - conveys little tension, the drainage ditches that have to be crossed over several times do not change that - just like the small ponds.

The layout is okay, but without leaving any particularly lasting impressions.

The course is well-maintained, the greens weren't that great today, not that fast - rather slow. They weren't freshly cut. What we have noticed on all of our visits are the high-cut fairways - does not fit at all. There are not many free meters here - due to the nature of the ground - you have to play the distances.

The clubhouse is a bit unusual, a secretariat and the cloakrooms. The gastronomy is missing, you have to look for it on the other side of the street, with a view of the Practic Aerea.

Everyone agreed - three stars.

Space open in every season

WOW!!
There is almost nothing to complain about even the opening times. The course is playable even in thick fog and snow (played on 1.1.19) and still it is in good condition

Too high green fee prices for ASG Migros

I can not rate the course because I did not play the course. The prices for ASG Migros players are far too expensive.
Too bad that they do not make golf at their facility accessible to all at fair prices

A real asset

Finally we have done it again to play the course. He has developed well, the greens were a little hard, but still playable. The fairways beautifully landscaped and surprisingly well playable. The practice area leaves nothing to be desired, the members are to be envied.
Gastro is the club house in order, ate well and have been really nice served.
For us a clear enrichment and by far one of the best clubs in the radius of 100 km. Please keep it up!
We would definitely come again!

Very pleasant game

We played there yesterday and were from the friendliness, the price performance ratio (in Switzerland) more than surprised. Although our start time was moved back, so we had to play behind a 4-Flight, but this was not a problem in the vastness of the place. the site that is even located in the Rhine valley has pitfalls (water) and excellent greens. before us a tournament was on the way, what the Greenkeeper but could immediately balance with a plugging the holes. GOOD JOB. always my pleasure

Good, but not better

The designed golf course is in good shape, despite a lot of rain lately. However, it does not come as a rating of "good" addition. The place lacks the WOW effect. Everything looks very similar to these, the railways also play all about the same. So hardly any variation on the round. For me as a player in the ASG Migros 130 - definitely too expensive on weekends. Since there are better alternatives in the local area.

Friendly AZ

The 18 hole course is 100% flat in the plane of the Rhine Valley and is easy to complete on foot. Nice haircuts, luscious fairways and impeccable greens are standard. Although change is not enormously large, but nevertheless it's fun to play the course. The Rough with the treacherous clover requires a straight game, even if the fairways were really wide enough. After the game, the restaurant is an oasis of calm at the parking lot - overlooking the driving range and excellent culinary offer. Friendliness is really lived - both in the restaurant and in the Secretariat and in the pro shop. And the golfers here include the friendly variety.
