Nicely embeded 18 holes in hilly landscape

Very welcoming personell at reception and members always friendly. Some holes are not very long, but partly still not easy to play. Fairways and greens in very good condition when I played. From some fairways maginficent views over the surrounding hilly landscape. The whole course is far away from city or highway noise. Alltogether excellent value for the fairly cheap greenfee.

First of all: I admit, I love this place! Fantastic golf course embedded in the landscape that never gets boring. Not overcrowded and absolutely quiet.
The challenge is actually just to be able to cope with the slopes. Because there are hardly any water hazards or bunkers that are difficult to play. The latter are basically very fair and also prevent ball losses. As far as I can tell, the greenkeepers do an excellent job there. In the spring there were probably some problems with the condition of some greens, but other courses that I played at that time were not spared either.
All of the staff there are extremely helpful. The gastronomy can definitely be recommended.
It's a pity, by the way, that some reviewers here engage in completely superfluous "pensioner bashing" instead of working on their game. This seems to be due to frustration. We played this course as the second on our camper tour - when we asked if we could stay there overnight with the camper after the round, we were already given a warm welcome on the phone. The warm welcome became even more warm on site.
The description of the course is two reviews (reiner2304) below, there is no better way to describe it - a very interesting course, which starts quite unspectacularly, but becomes exciting from hole 3 and "at the back" has a number of very nice holes! The raised tees and some "blind" shots are of course always a challenge if you don't know the place, but the directional posts are helpful. And even if it sometimes looks strange, these are ABSOLUTELY recommended - sometimes the fairway, invisible from the tee, hangs steeply in one direction after the crest, which is why playing over the respective directional post is a MUST! In any case, saves balls if you are not "smarter" than the court architect...
And overall, the course was in very good condition - despite the flood disaster in the region that had actually only recently passed.
We also enjoyed the food after the round on the beautiful terrace - the young waitress doesn't (yet?) Play golf, but was very attentive and we were well looked after.
Sanitary facilities: the showers are okay, the washrooms open again from around 7 a.m.
The camper overnight stay in the parking lot (slightly inclined) was also great, the next morning we went on... we spent a very nice day of golf here and - as promised - we like to advertise this beautiful place in Germany Southwest.

The hilly 18-hole golf course is located on the edge of the romantic Heino hometown of Bad Münstereifel (approx. 50 km south of Cologne) and can be reached quickly from the Eifel motorway A1. On the way from the highway to the club, the streets can be narrow and attention should be paid to game changes. The facility itself is in absolute tranquility and nature and offers clear views of the Eifel, the Siebengebirge or the Cologne Bay from time to time in various places. I played the course a few times over 20 years ago at the beginning of my golf game, because you can also play with the HC 54 here on the weekend and the game is usually not overcrowded. However, this time I again found that the place for high HC is certainly unsuitable, because you can quickly lose balls in the many bushes and forests with sometimes narrow tees or over biotopes. Basically you should play strategically and if necessary choose the front tees. If you stand at the first somewhat unloving tee (PAR 3), you initially have the feeling that you are more of a practice or short course. But already on lane 3 you need stamina the first time you climb the mountain. Then, especially on the backnine, there are other height differences to deal with. Those who are not quite as sporty should rent a cart if necessary. Even after 9 lanes you are not directly back at the clubhouse. But you can stop after 8 or 10 or 12 lanes and go back to the clubhouse via a path. As I said, there are some challenges to be overcome. Apart from blind blows from inclined positions or doglegs, there are very narrow lanes to the green on the 9 and 16, for example. However, it remains his secret why he billed € 69 as a green fee for me on a Friday afternoon. I did not complain because I redeemed a 2: 1 voucher from Golf-Albrecht.
