The golf course is right next to Lütetsburg Castle (with a very beautiful castle park). The layout of the 18-hole course is reminiscent of a links course, and some will certainly recognize the style of golf course architect David Krause. Even if this is an inland links course, this does not spoil the feeling of being on a golf holiday on the coast of Scotland... A visit to this golf course saves you the long journey to the island...
The lanes are separated by modeled dunes/hills with rough. There are also various lakes/ponds. Of course, the bunkers with high edges and undulating greens that are typical of the left are not missing either. Again and again you stand at the tee and can enjoy the view over the course. If the wind then blows stronger, the game becomes correspondingly demanding.
In addition to the driving range, there is a large putting green and a pitching and chipping area. The "Schatthuus" restaurant awaits after the round with a stylish interior, a beautiful sun terrace and very tasty dishes.
You can also stay directly with a view of the golf course. With the Lütetsburg Lodges, 3 exclusive tree houses and 3 holiday apartments are available for this purpose. This guarantees relaxation and short distances to tea 1.
We played our rounds 2 days in a row. It's just too beautiful here :-)

I played the course during my vacation and was pleasantly surprised. The course is in immaculate condition.
Rich fairways, great greens. Clean deductions.
The bunkers were in good condition.
If you play tactically here, you can score well.
Still not too easy.
There are deductions for the slow greens.
But those are the only points of criticism.
The public Schatthausplatz is a real short course.
There are no real challenges here.
But ok for a quick lap in the evening.
Very friendly staff at the counter, free drinks for the round including bars. What more do you want.
The dog was also allowed on a leash.

Also trundling through Germany with the camper, we unexpectedly discovered the otherwise unknown place for us. Lying "on the way" does not do justice to the place in any way. Both the public area and the other 9 holes were great, both in terms of the lane system and the state of maintenance. Even the public railways offered some interesting game alternatives (short par 4 with drive opportunity and risk) which otherwise tend to be the icing on the cake for par 4 or 5 lanes in terms of layout with good seats. Even more of that on the non-public holes... we were definitely not here for the last time and almost every detour is worthwhile... I thanked you again for the layout, maintenance of the course and friendliness after the round to pay tribute to the feeling of billing to share my positive surprise with everyone ... :))
