The Golf Club Kitzbüheler Alpen Westendorf is the new golfing jewel in nature’s dreamlike landscape in the Kitzbühel area! Away from the major tourist traffic routes, the 18-hole golf course, opened in 2014, is situated on the magnificent sunny plateau of Westendorf. The region's newest golf course, with a total length of 5,882m (Par 72), is exceptional due to its extremely quiet location and its Scandinavian flair. The Championship Golf Course spanning 64 hectares, constructed with a lot of empathy and embedded in the beautiful natural landscape was awarded a 4-star superior classification by the Association for Golf Club Owners in the spring of 2015. Protected by the impressive mountain called Hohe Salve to the North, the flat and easily accessible course provides not only sporting challenges but also unforgettable panoramic views of the surrounding Tyrolean mountains.

Another highlight of modern golf course architecture with the signature of Diethard Fahrenleitner. A sporty course layout in the middle of the forest on fair tracks is exactly to our liking.

It is a very good course with some exciting, challenging holes as well as hidden greens and great lush bunker landscapes.
Overall, it's not that difficult to play.
There is only one par 4 that scratches the 400 meter mark and four are rather short. The par 3 are too.
What causes difficulties are the sometimes very narrow holes, long irons or small pieces of wood from the tee are usually the better option. The greens themselves are also partly responsible, hitting them is difficult from time to time, some of them have grown very below average.
These were soft today, but still playable - good speed. They pissed us off today, delivering a whole bunch of three puts thanks to some difficult pin positions.
The playing conditions were good today - the ground wasn't too soft - because the amount of precipitation was significantly lower than in the Achensee / Zillertal area, where we almost played water golf.
We were not satisfied with the quality of the bunkers. The maintenance quality for the rest of the space was very good.
All have given three stars - the bunkers are responsible for this - although we count this place among the three best that Diethard Fahrenleitner has built. Five stars would be too good a rating, the length of the holes is missing.
