Characteristics
The Schmitzhof is an agricultural estate whose existence was first documented in the mid-19th century. The chestnut tree, which was already part of the estate at the time, is an estimated 230 years old and was incorporated as a landmark into the club's crest. During a professional stay in Wegberg I played on a very warm September the place. The system is remarkably well maintained, even the forest had "swept", so that balls could be easily found. The way to the next tee is everywhere very short, there are no walks.
