Tranquility in the woods

I played the Zurich Meisterschaften there last year, and liked the course very much. It is situated about 40 minutes drive from Zurich city high up on a hill in the forest. I prefer this style of golf course over the more "open field" type of courses, where precision play does not matter. Each hole is more or less on its own, some pretty narrow and tricky approaches to get the ball into a good position. Overall well kept and up to a high standard. From the club house you have a magnificent view, where you can enjoy the sunset with a cold drink. The training facilities could be better though. However, I would warmly recommend playing Hittnau to any of my friends.

One of the most beautiful golf courses in Switzerland. Beautiful layout, great views and technically demanding. Each hole has its own individual character. A great clubhouse with a breathtaking view. Friendly members.

Tricky, because slopes and blind holes and you have to play a few times to know the difficulties it well. Physically quite tiring (hole 17 ...) but well maintained and interesting. And the view from the terrace makes you forget many bad beats at the end...!
