So bad Condition

I played last September my first round in Kyburg. I paid 180 chf greenfee and really bad condition. Horrible greens, tees and fairways... I hope next year better...

Challenging place in city proximity

The place is not easy to play. For the first time, the first nine holes are sometimes very narrow and hard to judge by their partly strong Hanglangen. To roll balls supposedly well placed are usually in the side rough. The second nine are then more pleasant to play, but unfortunately then the nearby highway is easy to hear.

Bad tournament organization

Have played one of these Monday "Golf & Go" tournaments.
Play 18 holes, a beer and then back home, a good concept, but with CHF 155 rather expensive (for a Monday).
The tournament was small (17 participants), and the place was almost empty, because you should actually not play anyway at these high temperatures.
Nevertheless, the last 2 groups were played as a four, with only 8 minutes starting interval!
When the group in front of us wanted to play their approach on the first green, the Greenkeepers came and sprayed some foul-smelling liquid on the green.
The starter then intervened and made great efforts to ensure that they did not bother us afterwards. But apparently they were also at the same time mowing the fairways 2 and 3 in the middle of the tournament. These then remained unfinished, and cut and uncut strips alternated.
The greens were good, and the fairways were still green thanks to working irrigation, unlike many other places in this extreme summer.
The intermediate catering was as usual very solid in Kyburg, with a set table and waitresses. If you wanted to take a water in the heat with the second 9, that would have cost extra.
I actually like playing the course, but the thoughtlessness of the tournament management and the recklessness of the greenkeepers have spoiled my fun.
