First round of the year

Me and my wife drove from Sweden to visit France Easter week 2022. Our last stops were Epernay and Cuchery and we had decided on forehand to play this course before heading homewards.
We are avergage golfers and being fron Sweden we have had a log winter-break.
NIce welcoming at the course, we got a complimentary bucket of balls and tried to find our 2021-swing, a glass of champagne, and then we were off.
Nice weather this Easter monday, the course was in great shape, and it was demanding. Hilly and you are often in a tilted position, but we just enjoyed being back at it again. We never use a golf-cart and a player with normal condition really should walk this course to enjoy it's beauty.
Surprisingly enough we played just above our par, and had so much fun.
The locker-rooms and such were sub-par, but we are humble people and don't demand luxury wherever we turn. We just cope with the fact, and move on.
Had an excellent late lunch and we were entertained by what we guess was the man who built the course way back, and was the former president.
Thanks for having us, we will be back.
Fantastic provisional course

We found the course very well maintained, almost ''Scottish'' in its feel, and quite challenging for us as intermediate golfers. The clubhouse staff were very welcoming, and we very much enjoyed the Sunday lunch after 18 holes. All in all, I would recommend this course to a friend.

Positive: the course is demanding, the greens are fast and particularly undulating. The fairways are wide, but be careful on slopes, ie play on the right side. Very friendly club and the range is better than its reputation.
Cons: definitely the sanitary facilities. Did use the shower but it was a major disaster. I think the last one who showered before me was Richard the Lionheart.

Due to the critical reports, we visited this golf course without great expectations. We didn't even factor in time to go to the driving range, as it was described as useless in some comments. However, we regretted this when we encountered a 1A system. The clubhouse and the restaurant with the fixed bench seating are still simple. However, we received an extremely warm welcome and we were definitely surprised by the green fee of 47 euros / person including a glass of champagne.
We have already gotten to know many courses on our golf trips, but this course is really one of the top courses. The course is topographically demanding (you are often tilted), but it is rather short and therefore quite pleasant to play. The bunkers are well maintained and the fairways and greens are superbly maintained. Those who are good on foot can easily cope with the square on foot, otherwise a cart is recommended. We can warmly recommend this course and will play it again.

We are driven without registration for this course. The "Club House" had provisionally, the cafe was very good and we could play the same. The driving range was bone hard without distance information, the lawn soil. But the place was just the opposite! Very well maintained, silky loyal greens and occasionally great prospects. In addition, the tee times were very stretched, so that one was partially alone on the fairways.
Back in the clubhouse, we were asked to enter our guestbook and each received one glass of champagne! I call hospitality! And all including trolleys for 2 people € 88.
