What a nice surprise to play here, although I did not play my best game.

GC Varese is a very nice course near Lago di Varese. The good part of the course is that there is hardly any greenfee players and members playing during weekdays. We played several rounds on fridays and never had to book a teetime.
Play 18 holes and you will find a well prepared golfcourse with very attractive holes and nice lakeviews. After this the food at the restaurant is very good aswell, that makes a trip to Varese worthwhile.

We played the golf course in beautiful weather. Green fee with a ten percent discount because we were staying at the Varese Grand Hotel: €80. The course is very well maintained and challenging. But it is worth playing. Beautiful scenery. However, it is a bit up and down and the tees are sometimes far from the fairway. Very nice clubhouse, delicious food with a beautiful view of the lake and the Alps.

We were at this golf course for the first time on February 8,2024. Can only be found with a navigation system/car (the way to it is in the middle of Varese town, very narrow, difficult with a wide car). The welcome was friendly, the course was demanding and long. Cart recommended. Unfortunately, there was no labeling of the golf holes, so we had to go to hole 3, for example. only found their way to the nearest golf tee with the help of other visitors. The course was well maintained except for the holes. When the flag was removed, some of them took the metal sleeve with it. The holes were also not always cut nicely or went up slightly.

Very nice and friendly staff, nice pro shop, place has some nice tracks, precise play is required. Very good greens. My signature hole is the 10 with a view of the lake. The food in the restaurant was delicious. It's also great that we were allowed to stay overnight in the parking lot with the mobile home. Only the street was a bit noisy. I can only recommend. We'd love to come back.
