Characteristics
The massive grey building of the monastery of Luvinate sharply contrasts with the green of the golf course, which spreads in waves over the Campo dei Fiori. Whereever you go on this golf course, you will always feel the vintage atmosphere of the in 1934 founded club, which is equipped with tricky and long courses. Outstanding is the beautiful panorama view on the lake of Varese and the Monte Rosa range from the tee-off 10.

Good course
Reviewed April 8, 2010
GC Varese is a very nice course near Lago di Varese. The good part of the course is that there is hardly any greenfee players and members playing during weekdays. We played several rounds on fridays and never had to book a teetime.
Play 18 holes and you will find a well prepared golfcourse with very attractive holes and nice lakeviews. After this the food at the restaurant is very good aswell, that makes a trip to Varese worthwhile.
Atmospheric kept place

... with fantastic clubhouse (old monastery) and great old trees in the mountains to Lake Varese (seen from web 10)

Fantastic place
Reviewed October 18, 2010
The clubhouse itself is worth the trip, but the golf course makes the golf day then finally forgotten.
A very well maintained, old place with a great trees, but relatively wide fairways. Meter-high cypress trees frame the elevated greens that are well maintained and fast. The place is beautifully integrated into the landscape and has a great atmosphere. It is not easy to play through the trees and the slight hilly or undulating landscape.
When I played, it was slightly hazy, so that a mystical atmosphere prevailed. The view of the surrounding mountains, I could have guessed - now that would have been too much the first time.
I will play this course again!
