The perennially playable 18-hole-golf course is arranged dreamlikely in the middle of vineyards and silver olive groves. Little lakes, water hazards and the Mediterranean fauna and flora give the course a very special charm. Average course

Played in October 2017 the course was a complete mess with tee full of divots. Fairway were in poor condition as well and not mowed.
The desing of the course is also very poor with few interesting holes.
At Toscana Golf Pelagone i found good food and a welcoming staff, apart from i wouldn’t suggest coming.

Great layout - poor coordination

We spent a night in this resort while passing through and played the course. The overall package of hotel and round of golf was perfect for us. The hotel rooms are spacious, but the furniture is a bit dated for our taste.
The noise from the motorway that was mentioned in previous comments is a fact, especially on the front nine. However, we also travel by car and used this road. These are facts that cannot be changed and should not dominate an assessment.
The course is embedded in an idyllic, typical Tuscan landscape (if you ignore the motorway). Lovely rolling hills, cypresses and olive trees line the fairways. The layout of the course is very varied with various water hazards, lots of fun and sometimes hilly terrain. The condition of the fairways, greens and bunkers was very pleasing.
We were a little less pleased with the pace of play. We arrived at 12 noon and asked if we could start before the agreed tee time of 2 p.m. Unfortunately, this was not possible, which we of course accepted. A very negative point was that we needed 30 minutes for the first hole because a group was causing a huge traffic jam. The ranger I called told me that the golf school was on the way in the next flight. We were finally able to pass one hole further on, but it took us a full 50 minutes to play the first two holes. That is an absolute no-go for us. We have never experienced anything like it before. Unlike a noisy road, this is a fact that can be changed. We would play the course again because of the positive aspects described, but we would definitely like the flow of the game to be better.

Nice but loud

My rating is mainly based on the constant noise pollution that is given at most holes by the passing Via Aurelia. Depending on the wind direction and traffic flow, the course is an absolute challenge for noise-sensitive players. There are beautiful fairways, lots of water, fast greens compared to the other two clubs nearby and professional course management. A buggy is recommended in any case, because you have to overcome a few meters of altitude. A large swimming pool is directly adjacent to the clubhouse. The restaurant is large but relatively atmospheric. One is probably used to the presence of many people. If a noise barrier were built on the Aurelia, you could easily give the place 4 stars.

Good morning,

Thanks for the review.
I just want to make a clarification.
The Aurelia (4-lane road with little traffic) is adjacent to our course only on hole 3, a 160-metre par 3...
From the commentary it seems that the entire 18 holes are in the middle of the road.
Over the years we have indeed pruned some trees to make our field visible from the road and this has brought us many extra visits.
A noise barrier as well as being very expensive and useless, would also be harmful to the landscape due to its strong environmental impact.

Hoping to see you again, have a nice day
