The golf course runs on 2 levels. At the clubhouse there are lanes 1/2 and 17/18, the other lanes are in a lower trough. Elevated tees come into play here again and again, often through aisles, over water hazards, deep ditches, etc. Overall very varied, there are also various inclines on the fairways, trees also narrow them here and there...
The large, fast greens are usually slightly elevated and often drop steeply on the sides, so that a steep uphill chip is necessary for imprecise approaches. Very interesting to play and sometimes challenging due to the length of the tracks.
In the clubhouse you can sit very nicely on the terrace with a wide view and a view of lanes 18 and tee lane 1.
We were there with the mobile home. Parking spaces with electricity are currently being built. These are nearing completion. Another plus point for visiting this golf course with a mobile home! :-)

An unspectacular parkland course - not ugly, but without outstanding scenic highlights. The tracks themselves are also of average interest - from time to time a certain basic length (> 140m carry) is helpful to overcome ditches or small gorges from the yellow tees. Apart from that, water doesn't even come into play. There is a lot of space to the side, the driver can be "fully extended", the rough is very far away from the fairways. Most interesting are still a few (very) few elevated tees or greens to be played steeply uphill.
The greens are also rather unspectacular (little undulating).
In short - not a bad, but rather an average place.
The use of a cart is absolutely recommended! The paths between some holes are very long (> 300m), and it is not always immediately obvious where the next tee is. It seems as if the layout of the tracks was changed afterwards. As a result, the front nine have PAR 38, the rear ones (on which two PAR3 lanes are to be played one after the other) only 34. Artificial OFF boundaries are sometimes drawn in the middle of the field - presumably to reduce the risk to the players Reduce neighboring railways. Unfortunately, the bizarre layout also means that you have to cross other lanes several times on the way to the next tee and run the risk of being "shot" by the drive of other players - bushes and trees also prevent this danger from being recognized early on.
Unfortunately, maintenance and service left a lot to be desired. We had played on a Monday and, when I asked for the starting time for any Monday course maintenance measures, I was told that the usual mowing work would take place in the morning, but that this should not hinder the game any further. Even when checking in for the game, there was no indication that extensive work was in progress. The greenkeeping work lasted the whole day - at 5:30 p.m. the machines were still roaring over the facility, and the greenkeepers repeatedly dashed ruthlessly into the fields. The way the sanding was carried out was “really great”: a centimeter-thick layer of sand was poured over some of the greens. The "working" of the sand into the green, however, only takes place in a second step - sometime later in the day. Until then, the green is not only "sanded", but simply unplayable. “Highlight”: For once I hit the green from 130m - a greenkeeper rushes up and pours sand up - “Mission Putting Impossible”!
Please do not misunderstand - Greenkeeping is IMPORTANT and the Greenkeepers have to do their job. However, it is doubtful whether this has to be permanent to such an extent during game operations - elsewhere it is much less disruptive! And if it has to be while the game is being played - please show mutual consideration - the players don't start beating when a greenkeeper is within reach.
Finally: If it cannot be avoided at all - then you should inform the players about it before the round. A corresponding reduction in green fees would be more than appropriate in my opinion (but unfortunately there wasn't).
It is particularly regrettable that the maintenance condition of the site is badly below average despite this extensive work. On some of the not freshly sanded greens (especially lanes 1 and 2) real tufts of grass grew around the hole. Cup stitch sometimes catastrophic. Fairways (really bad, hole 18) are only partly made of grass - clover and weeds predominate - so the balls roll out correspondingly briefly on the so-called fairways. The semi-rough is so high in large parts that balls have to be laboriously searched for - mowing residues are everywhere on the lanes and in the semi and make the ball search unnecessarily difficult.
A complaint in the secretariat after the round was unfortunately not possible - the secretariat and thus the toilets / washing facilities were already closed and locked (4 hours before sunset).
Conclusion: a shame - on a day without greenkeeping work, the place is certainly wonderfully quiet and well worth a round. If the system was still in good shape, 3 stars would be appropriate, with the current state of care it cannot be more than 2. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 4 out of 10 points.)

Most of the paths are short, but from 2 to 3 (and later back 16 to 17) it is a good 500 m through the landscape. Overall, the tracks are a bit too long for women, the length of the tracks for men is average, and the length of the trails is also average overall. Then you stand at the top of the Stautetal with a magnificent view over the square and up to the Brocken in the distance - if you don't enjoy this tee at 3, it's your own fault. The other courses often have a slight incline and occasionally a transverse trench - not always fair for beginners, but medium and good golfers can score with well-considered shots. The sophisticated high green of 16 is currently being restructured to compensate for movements on the slope and to become fairer again. No catering in the valley; the terrace at the clubhouse only offers relaxation and a view of the next valley after 18 as well as the returning golfers at 18 as a reward for the round. A stop here is recommended.
