Prior Members German/American Club

We were stationed in Augsburg from 1988 to 1991. It was a German/American club at the time. We played every day in mini informal scrambles on the weekends and quite a few home and home tournaments. The course is very challenging, and very fun to play. We miss teeing off with the friends that we met and played with, both German and American! During spring, summer and fall there was always a Sunday breakfast scramble between two teams, retired naval personnel and active duty and retired Army personnel. We miss the town, we miss the course and miss all of our German friends! A course well worth the visit!

Great redesign by Thomas Himmel!

After a few years I played in Leitershofen again and I was excited about the renovations that Thomas Himmel had made. I wasn't disappointed! The new greens turned out amazing, maybe the most interesting in Bavaria! There is a double plateau, a lion's mouth, great shapes and undulations and very interesting pin positions. All of the high rough has also been removed (and with it any searching) and there are more opportunities off the tee than before. I was excited! The bunkering on the greens and the fairways is great. Many clubs should take the place as an example of what you can do with a fairly uninteresting place.
Nevertheless, of course, it remains a relatively short 9-hole course on which you can hardly lose balls. How the course rating came about is a mystery to me. Unfortunately, the greens were extremely slow and the pins were very easy (and uninteresting) to put in. The high-voltage line is still visually disturbing. Nevertheless, an absolute fun place! With faster greens and use of the more demanding pin positions, the claim would also be easy to increase and improve the long-term attractiveness.

Wonderful parkland course

On the way home from Bad Griesbach, we made a stopover in Stadtbergen...
The best decision we could make!!!
Only a 9-hole course...
But what a guy!!!
A flat, easy-to-walk course, with wide fairways and exceptionally fast and track-keeping greens.
Highlighting a hole is actually not possible as they all bring joy.
A relatively simple course that is just fun.
The price of € 30 for 9 and € 45 for 18 holes is very good!
Very nice outside area at the clubhouse.
Excellent gastronomy and at very reasonable prices!
I recommend to anyone who passes near this wonderful place!
