For the first time in my golf life I didn't finish a paid for round!
Holes to Southwest of clubhouse are okay, but all holes to Northeast are no fun, badly maintained, no grass on greens, huge weeds on fairways, everything work in progress. Course should be a 9 hole, awaiting improvement on remaining holes. Extremely long walks between some holes. Course layout bizarre.

I am an ambitious golfer with a handicap under 5 and regularly play golf in Scotland, Spain and Italy. This place is a must for anyone who knows anything about golf.
Layout 1, fairways 2-3 (in Germany a 2), greens is unfortunately the big weakness of the course... too many holes and also a bit slow.

Jandia Golf is a very beautiful and varied 18-hole course. Some tracks really with "oha" effect!
If you are fit, you can walk the course in about 4 hours as a single player with a trolley. The fairways are in top condition, the few bunkers are unfortunately only filled with gravel. It's better to take it easy on the clubs here.

I played the course several times on vacation in November in 2019 and 2020. Given the drought and lack of water on the island, the place is in an acceptable condition for me. The greens are damn fast, the fairways are usually grass, although not always green. The wind is a big factor depending on the direction of play. A Par4 then feels like a Par5 and you can also lie on a Par5 with the second shot on the green. The view down through the valley to the blue sea is really fun.
There are a few spectacular greens to play over ditches. However, next to the fairways there are often stone fields that are not an out or penalty area. I wouldn't want to use my clubs there, either you lay the ball better or bring some old wedge with you to knock the ball out of there.
The course has a lot of height difference, it is one of the few places where I, as a physically fit golfer, decided to play on a golf cart the second time after the first time on foot, because it was really strenuous on foot in the sun. But there are players there too who walk it. When I was there, there was really little going on every time, I was always able to play alone and actually never had a flight ahead of me. That is also a factor that I think is good for the course, a lot of income could not have flowed in the period in which I played, but the course was more than okay.
On the negative side, I have to report that the green fee is rather high. Especially when you have to borrow golf carts and clubs. The clubs I got were old and in bad shape. Some of the balls on the range were also broken, that is not possible.
