Characteristics
The 18-hole course is situated on a slightly undulating plateau featuring a population of old trees and a few splendid views of Katzenstein Castle and the church of Neresheim Abbey.
The well-balanced course features water hazards and skillfully-placed bunkers as well as four doglegs and und Par-4 holes leading uphill, thus providing a challenge even to seasoned golfers.

Good Golf Course

Overall, a good place you can play at any time.
The positive is the interesting terrain and the quite varied design. Lanes 9 to 13 in particular stand out.
The main negative is the high rough on both sides of the first 9 holes with relatively little space in between (approx. 50m). Balls can hardly be found in it and there are long search times. The greens could use a little more movement and variation.

Gastronomy was unfortunately not open.
You can expect a course with very well-kept wide fairways, very playable bunkers and a fantastic view of the Eastern Alb.
Greens were unfortunately very slow and bobbing, but on track.
Lanes 1 - 8 unfortunately don't leave anything that needs to be remembered...
The tracks 9,10,11 and 13 stand out in my eyes.
All in all, a place that you should play once.

Once you've found it, you'll find a very well-kept golf course here. However, the journey can be adventurous if you rely or have to rely too much on the navigation device. The Peugeot sat-nav led us over forest roads, some of which were impassable. It is better to find out more beforehand or to approach from the east.
The complex itself is a beautiful country estate between forest and meadows. The ladies in the secretariat were very friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we felt completely at ease.
The tracks are rather long than difficult. If you wanted to criticize something, it is the fact that there are hardly any lanes to be remembered (exception perhaps lane 9). But the system is in very good condition. Recommended for a stress-free round at any time.
