This is the second time we have been to the Feldafinger Golf Club and we have always been thrilled! The staff at reception were extremely friendly to us as guests, which is not always the case with many golf clubs.
We received the Bridiebook and the chips for the driving range for free. We were given a briefing and an overview plan, since the signage "next tee" is not possible due to the public park. But with the good overview plan and the hangings explanations from the secretariat, we didn't miss them!
The course presented itself in perfect condition - juicy fairways and fast greens. On some holes you can see parts of Lake Starnberg and on hole 11 is Rosen Insel, which is worth a visit after the round.
The front nine are rather narrow in contrast to the back nine.
Which makes the game a nice change of pace.
The golf course also has a lot to offer historically, as an employee told us.
The clubhouse and the terrace are embedded in the park landscape with the old trees. The food in the restaurant is highly recommended. The restaurant has been run by the same owner for 33 years. The menu offers everything you need after a round of golf on two pages! We came back just for dinner and have to say that was excellent too. The prices are normal and not overpriced.
We are very happy to come back and look forward to playing a game of golf in Feldafing again next year.

Yes, you play on historical grounds and the Golfclub Feldafing has something, above all a charming clubhouse and occasionally a view of the lake during the round, but the course itself is - in my personal ranking - in the south of Munich more in the field of pursuers, but not at the top. If I lived in Starnberg, the Starnberg Golf Club course would be my first choice.
I read that the course first had 9 holes and then expanded to 18 holes in 1962. The front nine were probably the first 9 holes, and I liked them much better, they were more harmoniously integrated into the landscape. The second half of the season is a bit confused in the landscape. The condition was impeccable. The paths to the next tee are sometimes long, not always happily signposted and in two or three cases quite steep.
The place is in a public park. That's why you keep meeting walkers and joggers along the way. That doesn't bother us and always makes for nice conversations with passers-by who want to know what we golfers are doing here. On the other hand, you have to pay attention to pedestrians crossing at one or the other tee.
The beautiful clubhouse has an inviting terrace with a beautiful view and first-class cuisine (the same innkeeper for over 33 years!) at reasonable prices.
The day of golf in Feldafing was a wonderful experience with the best weather. I'm happy to give 4 stars, 5 isn't quite enough for me.

It all started with nine holes - in 1926 - which received nine more holes in 1962. The US administrators were responsible for this expansion together with the club president. Today we play on the oldest 18 hole course in Bavaria.
In the mid-1990s, the 18-hole course was completely redesigned and the design is reminiscent of Harry Colt. Feldafing has been in the top lists for years - in the top third.
The sloping terrain towards the lake provides a wide view. The great thing about these holes is that they are in the middle of trees - some very old trees. However, this also has disadvantages: it takes time for the soil to dry out after rainfall.
The score card promises a relaxed round, because the holes are not that long - on average less than 350 meters, the par 4 with significantly more than 350 meters are in short supply. The fairway bunkers are also in short supply, there are only holes on hole 6. These are often replaced by the streams, the trees that come into play when there is no target golf.
